Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
You got the trifecta this time.
1Second cartoon’s not loading for me–got a 404 page not found error when clicking on the link.
2The Democrats need to start countering all those Obamacare “victims” with videos of all the success stories, actual people (not actors nor stooges) who tell the truth. Flood the media with them. Otherwise, the uninformed swallow that Republican baloney (also malarkey) whole.
3re: cartoon, you might try googling Ben Sargent cartoons. Mine came through okay. I’m fighting with my computer too off and on. And re: ACA stories, see, without extensions of Medicaid, like here in Texas, it’s hard. Run over to Wendy’s campaign site and sign up to send monthly donations so she has a chance to deal with Medicaid.
4and I’m real sorry about the missing plane. I really am. I hate to say it but it creates real diversions from other issues that we actually could be doing something about, like funding public education (and that includes fixing the falling down campuses), lack of water, investments in solar energy. I mean, this morning they were so short of inspiration over at the STATESMAN that they put this article on the front page (well, okay, I haven’t read it yet) about a liquor business might have to close. Real tragedy.
