I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
With regard to the “Between Two Ferns” appearance of President Obama, the Republican outrage alone is cause for celebration.
1And in that game of musical chairs, note how the Republicans “broke” the House. We cannot allow them to destroy the Senate.

2Toles’ cartoon reminds of a sign at a protest of that obnoxious governor of Wisconsin: “Becomes Governor, Breaks Everything.”
I’m putting my money into the DSCC.org to fund Dems for the US Senate. We’re not going to get the House back anytime soon thanks to the gerrymandering– Dems already outvote GOP, but we’d have to outvote them by 7% to get a bare House majority, and that won’t happen in 2014.
We HAVE to keep the GOP from taking the Senate. If you keep track of the ugly bills the House passes, it will curl your hair. At least we have to keep the note at the bottom of the reports, “The bill will be sent to the Senate where it is expected to die.” One of their highlights a year or two ago was voting DOWN a bill that would make it harder for domestic abusers, stalkers, pedophiles, and people on the terrorist watch list to get guns. Not to mention all the pro-pollution bills they pass. Last week they voted to fast-track environmental reviews, and voted DOWN a Dem bill making an exception for nuclear plants in earthquake zones. We have to keep these people from grabbing the Senate and actually making their garbage into law.
3Rhea, you have spoken. I’m not so sure that the Rethugs can keep their death grip on the House this time around. I keep an eye on the Casualty List produced regularly by Politico. The number of people choosing to decamp the House is kinda remarkable considering all their war-whooping about killing Obamacare, etc. So far a number of them do not have any self-proclaimed Rethug contenders for the mid-terms. Just have to see how the primaries turn out.
4Obama’s appearance on Two Ferns was not intended to appeal to angry old white men, which is why angry old white men are now even angrier. They really believe that everything is about them.
5It’s interesting that so, so many political cartoonists see the idiocy of the GOP so clearly, but the GOP hasn’t a clue. About almost anything. And neither do the delusional doofuses who keep voting them back into office year after year.
