Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
Wow, does the second cartoon say it all! I have worked one too many times for people with just that attitude: you should consider it a privilege to work for me and so what if I pay you peanuts! Elephants eat peanuts and they make out just fine!
They always wondered why there was so much turn-over!
What the RWNJ’s have tuned out of their hearing: Hellsbells, elephants eat more than peanuts. And if they don’t like you, they can make sure there is just a red stain on the pavement.
And the third cartoon is a walloping message (To bleep with the minimum wage!) about what the Gluttonist Ogre Party realling wants – an ever increasing maximum wage raise for themselves.
1We would be declaring war on a country that killed 35,000 Americans.
235,000 gun victims? We kill more than that with cars and you don’t see the government regulating cars and drivers. Oh wait, yes you do. Never mind.
3And how many have already been killed in just the first 3 days of 2014? The count has already begun here in Colorado!
4All three of the ‘toons clearly show the futility of dealing with greedy, irrational mean-spirited conservatives. That this small enclave can hold us all hostage to their demands is extremely offensive.
5Listen guys. I have been having this discussion with family and friends. Our oldest said the other day, Nobody’s going to riot; they’re too lazy. And he’s a liberal Democrat and a musician and computer geek besides. What I came up with today is that folks aren’t as lazy as they are confused and overwhelmed. We need specifics and actions to take and desired outcomes, preferably legal ones. I also had a chat with an old lady conservative GOP who agreed with me that the type of government isn’t as important as that there are restraints on it and right now capitalism doesn’t have any restraints. She doesn’t like the super duper rich any more than I do. If you have a letter you want written to your paper or FB page or wherever, now’s the time. Right now. Think about it carefully and think, will it just release steam or will it help achieve good goals?
6Marge Wood, your oldest son is correct to a degree, but unlike you, he doesn’t realize the degree to which our own good manners are being used against us.
Shrub, Dickster and croneys can start illegal and unfunded wars to the tune of $trillions and do it with lies and off budget. Now comes the lying Ryan to do ‘good,’ while denying mere sustenance to the unemployed and their children. Nope, not, non, nyet, gmab.
Rich idiots started the wars, it is their turn to pay for the damage they have done and put down a down payment, before they have any input into policy. Gohmerts to the Koch bro, Ted Cruz and all the toady economic twits.
