Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
Last cartoon is proof positive drumpf cheated. Frogs voted for him by their own admission.

And I gotta wonder what Walt Kelly would have to say these days.
2All good at showing some of the bad since the election. Only 11 more cabinet positions left to announce for toon #11
3Let’s see- got bannon, eftucker carlson, abutt, paxton, alex jones, roger stone, laura looney, the trump boys and girls available.
Good discussion article about the whackadoo cabinet nominations so far.

4drumpf skipped mandatory FBI background c hecks on three of the worst nominees, Gaetz, Gabbard and nut job anti-vaxxer kennedy. Apparently these three were outsourced to private detectives, likely on drumpf’s imaginary payroll.
5To me, the gut punch is #5. Because I believe it’s mostly accurate across the political spectrum. “We” all know it’ll be different this time because there’s a whole comprehensive plan to drown the Federal Government in a bathtub.
6“They” all know it’ll be different this time because trump has told them he’s gonna drown the Federal Government in a bathtub.
Generally speaking bathtubs don’t need lifeguards.
But In a general sense, lifeguards are a purty good idea for large bodies of water.
Too bad trump voters have been conditioned for decades to think of the sharks as lifeguards.
I’m with Pogo and the frogs, this time.
7P. P. @6, PFG analogy with the bathtub, I especially like the lifeguard – shark aspect.
I have a long history with sharks, having caught many in the Gulf (and bays).
One in particular, a fairly large young one, about 7-9 feet long (300+ lbs), a Great White (I double checked it’s dentition, which is the primary way of identifying sharks, rows of neat triangular serrated teeth).
I had it hooked and alongside my boat. Both of us were exhausted from the fight. As usual I was going to release the shark.
So, in order to salvage my expensive lure*, I needed to get it loose from Mr. Shark’s rather large jaws.
Holding the line tight, and looking eyeball to eyeball with the creature, head mostly out of the water, I reached down and IN with a pair of pliers and wrenched the large hook out. I jumped back, and Jaws made a big splash and got the hell outta Dodge.
.
In retrospect, thinking it over afterwards, it was pretty effing stupid. Even having on my stainless steel mesh gloves, that sucker could have chomped my hand or arm clean off with one movement.
*Put some chicken on a shiny spoon lure.

With 152.7 million votes now counted in the presidential race, Donald Trump leads Kamala Harris 49.99% to 48.22%, according to the Cook Political Report.
10Thanks Sandridge. The grover norquist quote just seemed to be the most relatable to what’s going on with Project 2025. Even though IMHO it’s kinda quaint, and almost a baby-steps plan compared to the chainsaw slinging approach to the Federal Government and safety net programs that have brought stability to our country for decades, that appear to be Project 2025
11But that’s just my opinion and I’m just as full of shit as anybody else.
Just occurred to me.
12Who’dathunk there’d ever be a time when there was the slightest possibility of a wistful feeling for the days when republicans only had to sign grover’s pledge, instead of whatever dear leader fealty pledge is bound to be coming down the pike.
P. P. @10, It’s a whole different scheme now. They are getting ready to run a full on Blitzkrieg against OUR American government and way of life.
13I fear that very few truly understand what is coming at us.
If they get anywhere near where they want to be, even just mostly successful in their diabolical schemes, it’s going to take a Civil War II to overcome them.
How many are ready to participate in that?
A lot will depend on how corrupted the military branches are with the same fascist mindset. I’m not too optimistic…
Sandridge, I agree. And not being sure of exactly what you’re talking about coming at us, my biggest concern is the VOLUME of things that aren’t gonna get done on a daily basis by the empty desks vacated by the drowning.
14I really don’t think anybody has an accurate idea of the scope of the inability of the agencies that keep us chugging along…to keep us …. chugging along once
Once the drowning happens.
15Sorry.
That’s just my opinion and I’m just as full of shit as as anybody else.
