A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.

3Hard to pick the best one that depicts the worst of times we’re living in. #1 definitely nails the last week or so. #9 reminds me why I’ve more or less stopped watching the news, even local teevee news. I’m wearing out the mute button when I do watch.
Steve@3 The heat has toned down enough here in the Gorge the last 2 nights that we could eat dinner on the deck instead of in the living room with News Hour. It was been totally mood elevating. Good wine doesn’t hurt, either. Hope you are staying cool in Beaverton.

5Fran, glad you could enjoy dinner and some wine outside. We did the same except inside. Not as hot as it was but still a bit warm for our liking. The next several nights after tonight, our grandson’s Oregon State little league all star tournament starts about 30 minutes away (Lake Oswego). That will keep us occupied.
6The first one is so completely true that I don’t see how politicians can miss it.
Voters are not deserting Biden; the press is. We’re still going to vote for him, unless the professional Democrats keep trying to commit suicide and the press keep egging them on.
