Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
Welcome to January 1, 2016 my friends …
Happy New Year and may each day beckon you to walk through the door to see what new adventure in living awaits you! Hopefully they won’t scare the crap out of you!!
I fear 2016 is gonna be filled with the sTrump and those who kiss his fat white ass!
1Feliz nuevo ano! Hope I got that right! The cop/cat in tree toon reminded me of a time in years past when such things actually happened on the grounds that the world was over-run with cats. And the local government could not afford to call out the fire department to deal with such events. Then ASPCA and even PETA got into the mix and it just doesn’t seem to happen any more. I think there is a point in that experience. Public outrage plus specialized groups can make a difference in who might get shot where and when. Let’s hope 2016 sees a real improvement in that situation!
2Here’s to a better year for all people in 2016, which doesn’t seem to be the case in the ‘toon representing baby 2016 with his hands up. Let’s all work to push the Progressive cause and in doing so, shut down the forces of ignorance, fear and hate.
3That would be the RKlan.
Perhaps this is the year we will find a cure for affluenza.
4Happy and Safe New Year to all. To more success at chipping away at ignorance and apathy. To less fear and more joy.
5I is all in favor of wingut heads ‘sploding as a form of expanding their minds.
6OT-one of my favorite singers,Natalie Cole, passed away New Year’s Eve. Another legend gone missing.
7epo, sorry to hear about Natalie Cole. She did a splendid “duet” with her father on “Unforgettable”….

9Technically, I believe the correct expression is “Feliz Ano Nuevo”, with a cedilla over the n.
Just sayin’.
Nelnor, technically it’s a tilde over the n; the cedilla is the little hook under a c. Brought to you by Pedant of the Day.
10Happy New Year! Stanford is up 35-0 over Iowa. Gnarly Failurina tweeted her pandering support for Iowa creating some twitter blow back. #CarlyCurse
11@ Maggie, @Nelnor S and @ Rhea-it made me giggle reading your kind wish with the usage of ‘ano’, and then reading the correction of the much needed tilde over the ñ in this greeting.
WithOUT the tilde, ‘ano’ certainly is a word, and it does seem appropriate for the pending political year.
As Ano means anus. Año means year.
12So, @ Maggie, with the thoughts of cartoon #4, you’re not too far off track with that mistyped greeting!
Happy 2016 to all at the WMDBS. I’ll leave this here: http://www.nydailynews.com/opinion/bramhall-cartoons-december-2015-gallery-1.2451170?pmSlide=1.2477871
