WOW! Mistakenly mis-read the headline on the left above to read: Miami FACT-EATING Zombie Attack”. Guess my eyes have a liberal bias!

  2. I am a transplanted Texan here in Florida. I just wanted my
Texas friends (and JJ) to know that Texas does not have a monopoly on Goofy Governors.
This fellow Scott will never be a threat to Perry’s Governor Goodhair title (Gov. No-hair??) but he is seriously trying to emulate Gov. GH in wrecking what shred of sanity remains in Florida politics.
Keep a wary eye out,, Texans, Rick is coming.

  3. @Gene…If there is a way to “un – elect” this guy….

You might want to look into it.

  4. Well it is the ongoing onslaught—-baffle us with bullcrap (tragic drug induced violence) while they slowly start burying us (and our voting rights) beneath it . . . .

Once again I was able to see the Fox “News” channel at the gym. They had a goofy legal expert named Rifkin who was asserting that no Attorney General since Nixon’s term has politicized the office like is being done now. States like Texas, Florida, and Arizona are valiantly trying to assure that only old white farts are able to vote and the evil Federal government is trying to stop them.

I sure miss the days of ethical, non-political AGs like John Ashcroft and Alberto Gonzalez.

  6. Grand Kludd says:

Here in Fort Bend County, Texas we used to hold private white primaries under the auspices of the Jay Bird Democratic Association. The winner would then be the only candidate in the offical Democratic Party primary. This went before the U.S. Supreme Court in 1953. When their lawyer argued that it was necessary to exclude black voters from the process to elect “good people,” Justice Robert H. Jackson responded:

“I see. In other words you first resolve that only angels shall inherit the earth and next resolve that you are the angels.”

On May 4, the Supremes decided 8-1 that the Jay Bird Association’s shennanigans violated the 15th Amendment. The JBA actually continued to hold primaries with black participation until 1959, when it suspended itself sine die. That dog just wouldn’t hunt no more.
