My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.

3We can laugh at the clown car aspect of all the wannabe GOP candidates running for president, but in all honesty I wish the opposition would come up with more choices. It’s why many of the younger folks don’t bother with voting, they all think everyone’s the same and nothing is going to change.
4The ‘toon depicting the Repug Presidential candidates is spot on.
5It’s going to be fun seeing them argue about who gets in the debate and who has to stay outside with their noses pressed to the window. Sorry Rick 1 and Rick 2.
I think the term “GOP” is outdated. We should switch to “GOOP,” for “Grand Old, Old Party.”

8Well, glf, I disagree that there is nobody to attract the young voter. We got Bernie Sanders, who may or may not get the nod, but in the process might keep Hilary honest, and I truly believe he can win the hearts of the young idealist: what a combination, kindly old grandad with the heart of a lion and the best mind in America right now. I only fear that at his age he might not be equal to the physical stress of the job.
9Linda, there are times when I get to see Bernie in person on The Hill. He is the genuine article. My worry is that he will not survive a campaign at his age.
