Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
“Carpet bomb the Capitol with brains”-that’s perfect.
1Funny how “religious freedom” has been redefined as the freedom to impose your personal religious beliefs on everyone else in the country.
2Sure enough. As always, I wonder what they don’t want us to think aBout while they’re talking about these other things. Strategy and Action time. Probably repeating myself here. Kochs said if they could get control of state legislatures it wouldn’t matter what happened in Washington.
3Finding a brain compatible with wingnuts and not be totally rejected would be a chore since wingnuts disavow science.
Mayhaps you could just have wingnuts remove their brains and rent a rug-doctor to steam clean them. For wingnuts, cleanliness is next to goofiness.
4Not a single one of them will get up in a nationally televised debate and wing around with their fundie love. They will try to talk as calmly as possible and actually sound somehow credible. I can only hope that the moderator would open up the religious freedom question.
5Contrary to what we were taught in the 2nd grade, the Puritans didn’t come to New England for religious freedom. They came for the freedom to practice their own flavor – and to make sure everyone else practiced it. They exiled or executed Quakers and other dissenters.
A friend had a bumper sticker that read: “The last time they mixed religion and politics, people got burned at the stake.” I’m sure plenty in the GOP Clown Bus would provide matches.
