   How appropriate, so close to his birthday, that Lincoln’s tears should flow. The sham that is his former party is a disgrace!

   I was going to mention the Mike Luckovich cartoon’s reference to Lincoln and Lesley Gore, but Bob Evans was on it (but that’s Lesley, not Leslie, Bob).

   She passed away on Monday. Interesting history from the early days of R&R, a rich NYC Jewish girl, with a lot of talent; and very outspoken, she inspired a lot of people.

   Best Lincoln Memorial reaction cartoon since Glenn Beck stood there announcing that he was Martin Luther King’s heir, and one of Lincoln’s legs shot out and kicked him to the eastern shore.

   Lesley Gore came out as a lesbian a few years ago. Her last album dropped in 2005. She wrote a lot of music too.
