For Those of You Keeping Jones Score

Alex Jones got another fine today for wasting Little Bubba’s time.  It just keeps stacking up.

Alex Jones, a conspiracy theorist and repeated loser of court battles, was ordered Wednesday to pay more than $20,000 in attorney fees after losing another appeal in a defamation case …

Attorney Mark Bankston, who is representing Heslin and other families suing Jones, told HuffPost in a statement that the latest victory for his client spells the end for Jones.

“It is rare to see a legal defense so incompetent and disrespectful to the rule of law that it causes a defendant to rack up $150,000 in fines during preliminary motions before even reaching trial,” Bankston said. “These fines are only the beginning. A far greater reckoning awaits Mr. Jones.”

Mark is working from home and washing his hands often because he has a 6 year old who is never clean. He can get dirty walking from the sink to the refrigerator.

Has he paid a cent of his fines, or is he like Mango Mussolini?

  2. And here I thought you were going to say that he washed his hands often because he had to deal with scum like Alex Jones..

    My bad.

  3. I dunno, Diane, it seems like a reasonable assumption to me.

And it is very nice to get some good news like this in the midst of all the stress regarding COVID and putting up with our idiot so-called president.

  4. Hurray.
In texas can he declare bankruptcy to avoid fines?
Does texas have the same sort of unlimited “Homestead” exception for bankruptcy that Florida is infamous for?

You don’t know how happy I am about this. No, you really don’t, unless you can look through your electronic device and see me doing the Dub Step Of Righteous Victory.

I’m with Diane #2; Little Bubba should wash his hands and maybe a bit of Lysol spray around the computer after dealing with Jones!

He should probably wash his hands every time he has to talk about Jones.

K, thankfully Florida leads the nation in corruption friendly laws. Texas has been working tirelessly since the Rs took over back in the Governor W days to get there but I don’t believe we’ve sunk that low yet. I’m just so happy to see Bubba Jr. taking this blowhard down to the ground. Years ago, Alex was just a local access distraction- how he became BigTime is a mystery even though it coincided with the R/Evangelical takeover of our national politics. SDB, you need to give that son the biggest hug of his life!

  10. Okay I’m going to say something that I feel needs to be said.
No disrespect to Bubba. At all. In any shape, form or fashion.
But the lawyer bringing Alex Jones to justice through the civil court system laid down in the Constitution, because the slimy f**ker’s figured out how to subvert and weaponize the first amendment to profit off mass hysteria,…has got a name. It’s Mark. Like I said, no disrespect to Bubba. But IMHO attorney-at-law Mark Bankston’s name stands on its own.
