First Thumbs Down to Pompeo?
Mike Pompeo may be the first Secretary of State nominee to go down in committee.
Don’t get too excited.
The full senate will vote next week and he’ll win because of Heidi Heitkamp, Joe Donnelly, and Joe Manchin, three Democrats who are obviously looking forward to watch the world go up in flames.
In the second ring of this circus, Republicans are threatening Joe, Joe, and Heidi that if they vote No, they will “face the consequences.” Who the hell believes that crap, you little weak kneed wimps? They are coming after you no matter what you do and no matter how much you whimper and beg. And you know what the irony is, they will call you weak. Because you are.
If one of these senators is yours, call them and let them know The World’s Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc. says they are cowards, and we will all face the consequences of that.
Hmmm. The only way I would ever give Pompeo a thumbs up (he was OK as a Congress Critter but I can’t go all the way with him on this one) is if I knew the White House was prepared to nominate Kelly Ann Conway for the position if Pompeo goes down in defeat. Think about that! Kelly Ann, Secretary of State. Please forgive me, Lord, for what I am thinking right now!
1Based on his track record, I assume Trump would nominate someone to head the State Dept. who wants to destroy the State Dept. We can all look forward to watching that happen.
2Well, damn, Ron Paul changed his mind and voted YES on Pompeo. Paul never does what he says he will.
3JJ – I think I know why Rand’s neighbor hates him so much. His father is just as wacky but has the advantage of a sense of humor.
4Why don’t Manchin, Heitkamp and Donnelly declare themselves Republicans while they’re at it.
