Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
Ivanka accepted Barr’s statement that Trump lost.
1The committee presentation was good: definitely better than I expected. But if somebody could have shut up the (ABC) newscommencritters… they were horrible, insipid and irrelevant. I suspect the other channels’ newscritters were just as bad.
2You can watch them live on YouTube without bothering with the news commentators.

3What’s even funnier to me is that they never got one. Trump couldn’t be bothered to cover the asses of those who bought into his illegal power play.
4I watched on PBS livestream. Judy Woodruff introduced and there was talk during the recess, but no interruptions. The hearing was so very disturbing – and riveting. The testimony from Officer Edwards was heartbreaking. The video of the violence was hard to watch.
5@eyesoars #2 – I watched on Paramount+ and they only had commentary during the breaks. It’s riveting enough without someone blathering on about it.
6I watched on CNN and they only talked during breaks.
7I watched Fox. What hearings are we talking about?

I think it screams GUILTY loudly, if you were preemptively begging Trump for a pardon.
9Requesting a pardon is an admission of guilt.
10Fortunately, even ABC didn’t have commentary while the hearings were live. It was all during the intermission and afterwards, and it was just bad.
Requesting a pardon isn’t technically an admission of guilt, but it implies an awareness of guilt or wrongdoing, aka mens rea, which is often a major component in establishing guilt for a crime.
And yes, it screams “GUILTY!”
11Ivanka saying she believed what Barr was saying is her CYA move. That’s all. She’s as guilty as her hubby.
12Was at a grandson little league game so could only watch the highlights (low lights). Can only hope the tide will turn and a large majority of voters will take this to heart at the ballot box against trumpf endorsed candidates, those that won’t finally admit there was an insurrection, and if trumpf does manage to run again.
Dan Goldman said, after even one hearing, that Trump is looking at handcuffs. Add a buzz cut and striped pajamas
13to complete the out fit.
maryelle @ 13,
And how about imprisonment on some remote island without internet or phone privileges, where he’ll never be heard from ever again …like Diego Garcia or Kwajalein Atoll?
14Papa, if they can keep Gitmo open for a little longer, solitary in the camp would be the ccrowining touch.
15Mark@ 8 roflmao, When looking through TV listings to see what was on my husband and I noticed a strange absence on the supposed News channel.
16Oops mark @ 8
17Burdick v US, 1925. SCOTUS says accepting a pardon is an admission of guilt. Does it not then follow (or precede, if you wish) that the request is not a confession? But I ain’t got no law degree, although I know people who know people who do.
