File It Under, “I am Shocked, Shocked, I Tell You!”
George Zimmerman is missing all the attention.
She said her husband of five years was in an argument with her and her father and had his hand on his gun, Lake Mary Police Chief Steve Bracknell told NBC News.
Shellie Zimmerman told ABC News last week her husband was “selfish” and has been making “reckless decisions.”
“In my opinion, he feels more invincible” since his acquittal, she said.
ABC News is reporting that punched his father-in-law in the nose and threatened to shoot him and his wife, “according to 911 tapes of a domestic incident today.”
So the victim got to the phone this time.
No worries. He’s now free to walk the streets threatening
teenagers, women and old men again.
Hmmmm. George still hasn’t got in the face of a male peer.
1I wonder why not?
I knew we had not heard the last of this idiot. Just give him time. Maybe he can keep O.J. company.
2Thankfuly, a phone was near for 911.
3Yup … Georgie Porgie is all over the Internet and Facebook. One day that boy is gonna point a gun at the wrong person and Georgie Porgie gonna be dead himself! Evidently the cops have taken him into custody for assault because he punched his father-in-law in the nose and scared the be-Jesus out of his wife … she doesn’t know what he’s capable of. Excuse me? He shot an unarmed teen … honey, that’s what he’s capable of doing!!
4George Z. was released from custody by the police because wife and father-in-law refused to give a signed statement of press charges. Police will continue investigation, however, including review of video from active camera at the site. This would seem to indicate that the police can still file charges.
5Maybe his soon-to-be ex wife or father-in-law will shoot him……Stand Your Ground, Dontcha know.
6Gramiam … you beat me to the punch:
UPDATE: George Zimmerman is “free to go” following an armed incident with his wife and father-in-law, who reportedly say they won’t press charges, police say. http://nbcnews.to/1ea6aHl
7From watching the movies, my understanding of the first thing a criminal does when he gets away with something is to LAY LOW. George Zimmerman does not seem to appreciate the importance of this concept. Or, let’s take a real life example: OJ Simpson. Do not steal collectibles just because they once belonged to you.
8He was standing his ground. What do you liberals want him to do, act like a coward? (Tell us about his piece, automatic? how many rounds?
9Sohelpme, all those rwnj’s that argued at me in favor of Zimmerman haven’t said a word in my direction all day! (Peace and quiet!) This guy is trouble on nuclear roller skates. Two outcomes:1. this guy will kill again or 2. someone will take him out under the Stand Your Ground law. #2 could be the end result of #1.
10Big surprise — a violent nutcase gets acquitted of murder, but remains a violent nutcase. I, too, am shocked.
11I’m with Judi– sounds like his wife needs to stand HER ground. And she’d be acquitted, so why not?
12Meant to add– if she’s charged at all, since he wasn’t until the public outcry.
13I think the Zimmerman wife or her father should just use ‘the Bush doctrine’ I think that is what they call it now.
14I like the part where Zimmerman’s wife says she doesn’t know what he’s capable of. He’s capable of killing an innocent young man just because of skin color and then lying about it. Zimmerman is going to come to a well-deserved bad end.
15Ah but when the end comes for George his loving, enabling parents, his slime oozing lawyers will be on every channel blaming the media for taking this gentle man and turning him into a lonely, confused soul. I understand prior bad acts should not influence current decisions but this rotten egg had been left out too long prior to killing Trayvon especially when his cousin came in voluntarily before charges were even a glimmer in a court to tell police how he had abused her for a very long time, how the night of (or shortly before) the shooting he and his wife had just split in anger and he wasn’t on his way to Target that night but filled with anger and looking to shoot anyone especially someone he knew he pick on and win. She “reconciled” either because his lawyers pressured her, she saw the money rolling in and knew a divorce later would get her more money and she was safe as long as he was on trial and if he went to prison she was safe to rake in the money before filing for divorce.
Her statement after the trial full of sorrow for Trayvon’s family was self-serving (to me). She could have volunteered to testify on behalf of the state about GZ’s state of mind but then no one really wanted justice for Trayvon except the Martins and every other decent human being.
16I’m fascinated by the latest chapter that occurred in this latest Zimmerman saga, as mentioned by Marcia above. Apparently Mark O’Mara, Zim’s lawyer, dropped what he was doing in his new analyst job with Fox News and hustled back down to Florida and had a face-to-face with Shellie Zimmerman.
Voila! She decided to not press charges. One wonders what arm twisting ($$$$$) occurred in that little meeting, and if Shellie had the wits to have HER legal counsel attending at the time.
Nahhhh.
17In his defense, his father-in-law was armed with a nearby sidewalk.
Everybody and their cousin (Jesus Hachecristo!) knew that this guy had anger management issues, including assaulting a police officer.
It’s just a matter of time before this guy goes off again…tick tick tick.
18He went over to his in-law’s house to, you know, Stand His Ground, and stuff. Good thing no one tried to pull a bag of Skittles on him.
19Spot on, Angela. He needs to look a young man his size in the eyes–so he can soil himself.
