Dear FEC, Love Rick Perry
Dear FEC,
Remember all those reports we filed last year when we tried to get Rick Perry elected President? Well, they were all incomplete. We left out a lot of information about vendors who got paid directly by our staff. Pages and pages of them. We know you sent us a bunch of letters telling us that we had to disclose that stuff, but it was a pain in the ass and we were trying to win an election. Sorry. Here are the right numbers:

So, we’re good, right? I mean the election has been over for more than sixth months, so who cares?
Love and Raw Freekin’ Arrogance,
Winning Our Future, The Super PAC that supported Rick Perry.
Thanks to Alfredo over at the Dairy Queen for the Breakfast Blizzard this morning.
Oops…….
1But Math…….
It’s so HARD!
What with my Texas pubic skool edumacation, also, too.
Just saying……
2This reveals that Perry has been busy creating jobs in — CALIFORNIA. Instead of blaming him for trying to take their jobs, the State of California should be thanking him for all the funds his campaign used on media, surveying, marketing, funds in California. As if we don’t have those folks here. Too funny.
3Cut him some slack. He could only remember to file the first two.
4Alfredo over at the Dairy Queen is one smart guy. He has found so many hidden little treats to share with all of us. A thousand thanks, Alfredo.
5Another example of why we can’t have nice things. Why isn’t incomplete filing illegal? Or just disqualifies you from running? It’s a dang Presidential election for cryin’ out loud. There are rules. If you can’t follow simple paperwork instructions, you not qualified to lead the country.
Good Freakin’ Grief.
6Maryelle said it for me.
7I looked up a few of the names listed as contributors and they led me to the Adelson financial empire in Las Vegas. The articles are http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2012/feb/01/more-adelson-family-members-donate-pac-supporting-/#axzz2UoIgp81k and http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2012/feb/01/more-adelson-family-members-donate-pac-supporting-/#axzz2UoIgp81k .
Many of these contributors are crooks, and are currently under investigation by the Feds. Somebody will probably now complain that the FBI is targeting criminals who support Republicans.
8FWIW, Nancy, the listed reports above showed a total for itemized disbursements of $1.78 million, of which slightly less than $312,000 (or 17.5%) got paid to Texas vendors. Actually – make that Texas VENDOR (singular). Except for a paltry few thousand, most of that 312 grand went to one Gregg Phillips, a political consultant in Austin who has a long background of questionable deals in and around state government.
Phillips is the kind of fellow who calls to mind the slovenly cook in a restaurant kitchen, discovered by a health inspector to be slapping a ball of ground beef under his armpit to make hamburger patties. When the inspector expressed his shock, the cook responded, “Oh yeah? If you think that’s bad, stick around for when I make doughnuts.”
9I think they dropped the apostrophe. Those reports was amen’d.
10“stick around for when I make doughnuts” — HA! Oh how I love visiting the Salon! You people really do make my day!
