Damn Rick Perry

June 14, 2013 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Governor Rick Perry has vetoed the Lily Ledbetter Act for Texas because he is without a doubt the most worthless festering piece of arch conservative woman hating slime on the face of the damn earth.

May God have mercy on his prissy pants soul.

The sumbitch vetoed 24 bills and completely defunded the public corruption unit in Texas.  He’s running for President on the backs of women and children along with the support of crooked politicians.  He’s trying to out-Cruz Ted Cruz.

Be social and share!

  1. As a woman who has been paid less than a male coworker who had less experience, this kind of stuff really gets me. My mom has been fighting this fight since the late 1950s. I’m in my mid 50s now and I (and other women) shouldn’t have to still be fighting it.

Fortunately, in my current field (IT), and working for the State of Texas, there is a lot less opportunity for wage discrimination. Doesn’t appear to be much of a glass ceiling at my agency either, except at the very very top level, and once you get below the agency director, you start seeing women. Very cool.

The fact that the Governor thinks all these cases need to be shunted to the Federal level and not be covered by state statute as well is asinine (is that word OK, momma?). We’re one of 8 states who haven’t passed it, yet. Obviously he adores the free press from being contrary. Can the Leg override his veto or is it too late now that the session is over?

THAT was unequivocal. Couldn’t find a single positive thing in it…..so I’ll give ONE positive thing. You can’t hack off 1/2 the voting public and stay in office unless the hacked half is monumentally stoopid. I believe that Texas will turn BLUE. (fingers crossed that the women will wake up).

  3. Charles Phillips says:

He vetoes it, they fold; that’s the deal. If they were supposed to pass it, he wouldn’t have vetoed it in the first place. There wouldn’t have been much vote-getting drama in that, would there?

    When is Gov.Perry’s term up?

Do you thiink he will run for Gov. again when it comes time?

All I know is someone I know really well used to make $20 an hour and now she makes $12.75 an hour. Also who in the world could afford to sue an employer? The only one who would come out ahead would be the lawyers. I think you have to be a certain kind of tough to get into that kind of battle. That, or be married to a really good lawyer.

  6. Been down this road so many times it looks like up to me. Nine out of 10 employers that I’ve had ripped me off when it came to pay. They blithely violated every wage law on the books knowing full well that the vast majority of women (and many men) don’t have the $$ to hire a lawyer and take them to court. May the god-ess pull a funny on Ol’ Rickie Boy and when he wakes up tomorrow he discovers he’s a woman! And there’s somebody called Rick Perry as governor of the state.

Does anyone here know Perry’s money trail? The money guys are the ones responsible for all political evil. Follow the money.

I love my state but dear Lord I am embarrassed by some of the damnfools we manage to elect. I generally hold that the best term limits come at the ballot box, but Goodhair is calling that into question.

What, and live on only one state salary?

  10. Rick Perry is as dumb as a wet rag. And probably just as smelly. I have to keep telling myself that he, along with Sen. Shameless (Cruz), are helping to turn Texas blue next year. Out of respect for your website, and Mama, I will withhold what I REALLY think about these two fleabags… 😉
    My apologies to fleas…

  11. Marge Wood says:

Yeah, speaking of ethics. WHY is Perry getting a full time salary plus a full retirement check? Huh? And WHY don’t we have term limits in Texas?

  12. Add to this fetid stew his signing of the Merry Christmas bill and his insistence that freedom of religion does not mean freedom from religion. This guy is a total waste of DNA!!!!!

  13. The sociopath Rick Perry, adherent of Christian Dominionism, is busy attending activist faith conferences and conducting his national jobs theft tour, at Texas taxpayers expense. Another run at the presidency and a reelection campaign for governor are in effect at the same time, don’t y’all know.

Look around… you have neighbors, acquaintances, friends and foes all you who think that Rick Perry, Ted Cruz and the rest of those slime-wad Republicans they keep electing are wonderful, God-fearing defenders of their beliefs and the American Way… kiss the baby and wave the flag. I honestly don’t know how much longer I can take living in this state.

And JJ… you called Perry Prissy Pants. Let me be clear… we are not cousins, nor in any way related. Thanks, Miss Prissybritches

    14
  15. Marge Wood says:

Dear Miss Prissybritches, I think that lots of votes for Perry are votes against the Democrats. Here’s an interesting note: most of my doctors are Republicans; most of the nurses are Democrats. (I used to register voters from my hospital bed which I am thankful to say I’m not in any more.) Why? That is a rhetorical question. Think about it. Nurses work four twelve hour days in a row. If somebody don’t show up they’re expected to keep on working. One day a listless nurse told me that and I said GO HOME AND GET SOME SLEEP. She did.

  16. RepubAnon says:

I think many folks vote for Republicans for the same reason that many North Koreans believe in their government: the only news they hear is from the party-approved propaganda outlet.

No wonder teaching critical thinking (or thinking at all) is discouraged.

Plus, Rick Scott just vetoed the FL State wildflowers bill..at Least y’all have your wildflowers..

Could somebody tell Perry this isn’t the 1950’s. Women don’t have to stay home and wait on men hand and foot. Minorities and females are your equals and deserve equal pay and equal treatment under the law, especially with regard to their sexuality.
You old white men have had your day and ours is coming!

    18
  19. Maryelle, that’s what we said in the ’60s–your day’s over, old white men.

And here we still are. And they’re still here, too, fat & sassy & smug as a rooster on his own dunghill. One thing we’ve got to do is get all the women–ALL the women, including the pampered and/or frightened wives of those men determined to keep women down–to understand that we (and they) really are fully human persons entitled to have decent treatment.
