Dammit, Dammit, Dammit, Holy Cow Dammit
Okay, so here’s the deal.
Forty seven Republican Senators are pen pals with Iran. And they threatened them if they deal with President Barack Obama.
But the letter takes an even more outrageous approach when the group reminds the Iranians that “the president may serve only two 4-year terms, whereas senators may serve an unlimited number of 6-year terms.” Later adding: “President Obama will leave office in January 2017, while most of us will remain in office well beyond then – perhaps decades.”
The message is clear: Don’t you dare think about dealing with the president, because we will spend the rest of our lives (in some cases, quite literally) destroying you, if only out of spite.
Talk me down, people. Why is this not treason?
They are damn and determined to start another war.
Thanks to everybody for the hollering.

I signed. Over 92000 signees. I only signed once.
1I love all you guys! You can’t say Dems aren’t informed! AND, we know how to use the intertubes to find information, as opposed to some RWNJ’s in Congress. [sigh]
Isn’t it about time for another vote to repeal Obamacare? It’s Tuesday, right?
2“The end of these negotiations isn’t an unintended consequence of congressional action. It is very much an intended consequence. A feature, not a bug, so speak,” Cotton said in January, speaking at a conservative conference hosted by the advocacy group Heritage Action for America [Ryan Grim, “Senator Who Organized Letter to Iran Has Said He Wants to Sabotage Negotiations,” Huffington Post, 2015.03.09].
This un needs to be strung up in high cotton.
3I meant to say 92000 signees to go. It is now down to 87000 approx. to go. Hopefully the word will get spread. I sent it to South Dakota, iowa and Alaska.
4Found seven semi-sane Republicans. Here are the seven who did not sign Tehran Tom’s treason screed:
Lamar Alexander (TN)
5Dan Coats (IN)
Susan Collins (ME)
Bob Corker (TN)
Jeff Flake (AZ)
Lisa Murkowski (AK)
Rob Portman (OH)
OKAY
6Sent it on to family and friends.
I am sick with disgust at the entire political realm.
Why not just have the Ko$H boys crown themselves.
War–as in “we have always been at war with…” benefits few.
Watching “14” right now, what a nightmare.
Sedition at the least, traitors in my mind.
This may be able to push me over the activist edge. I sign things, give money–but this is street worthy. We ignore this to our children’s peril.
Bastards—their children are not cannon fodder. I’ll say it again
For every military action engaged the children/grandchildren of elected officials should be first out the door and IN combat–no cushy back from the front jobs. And they stay there until the fighting is done.
I was not moved unto anger until now. But it moved all the way to outrage on this one.
PKM-your list is seven names short-only 40 by my count. I looked and looked for Carpetbagger Barbie Dan Sullivan of Alaska and he wasn’t on either of your lists. He did sign it while Murkowski of Ak did not. Still missing six names. Not a big deal. Just saying.
Good for you,Ms Elise. If this doesn’t force Dems to get their act together and put a stop to this non-sense-it can’t be done.
7e platypus onion, thanks for the point out. Admittedly my new list is easier; the 7 who did not sign on with Traitor Tehran Tom.
Apologies folks. If your Congress varmint isn’t on the list of seven, they were one of the ones I overlooked on the list of 47. That will teach me to open a word document to alphabetize and count before posting.
Two senators from TN didn’t sign. Do they have something in the pork barrel pipeline that they don’t want President Obama to veto?
8It now seems that Rand Paul, Scott Walker and pRick Perry want to endorse that letter too. They felt left out. If only the federal marshalls would grab them all so the can see that letters, if not elections, have consequences.
9Sorry, it was not Scott Walker, but Perry, Rand Paul, Bobby Jindal and TED CRUZ who wanted to join the insurrection.

iowa’s “Cantaloupe Calves” King-Pelosi was in blatant violation of the Logan Act by being a diplomat. That is not Congress’ job.(paraphrased) Read all about it.
11Well, no, they will get away with just a verbal drubbing from Biden and a little scorn from the REAL republicans.
