Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
Hey, when nobody will contribute to you otherwise – you do what ya gotta do – right?
1Saw this on the twitter machine just now from TX state rep Gene Wu:
Gene Wu
Hello.
This is violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA).
I know, because I passed this law in 2015.

2Gene Wu is the best!
3Rep Wu has more to say in this twitter thread:

4You know Cruz is desperate and terrified of the Blue Wave! He’s losing a race that should be a blowout for him. Poor Rafael.
5Also this:
6David Greenidge @davegreenidge57
Replying to @sean_r_owen @cotey_mary and 2 others
I use to be a postal manager. It’s highly questionable these qualify for *standard* rate postage. The envelope I.D.’s the contents as governmental and official. That means #Cruz has cheated to #USPS, of revenue. The legality would be a question for the Postal Inspection Service.
Part of Wu’s Twitter thread:
For everyone asking in the comments:
I do not have standing to sue.
I could be wrong, but it needs to be someone who received a mailer or our felony indicted Attorney General Paxton.

Wu sounds like my kind of legislator.
7Oozy Cruz is more desperate than a five dollar streetwalker. But a streetwalker has more class and is much more respectable than Cruz will ever be.
8Well…
9it would be kinda funny if Ted gets a real summons from Travis County, because he sent out fake summons …
@Rick,
We can hope it happens in the next few days.
10Ya know, my first reaction should be ****, that’s unbelievable!!! Sadly my reaction was ****, that’s totally believable. Hope he gets a lot of bad national press on this.
11Despicable. But I have yet to see the contents of the envelope on any site.
12Even if it isn’t thought up by the candidates, GOPs attract the sleaziest “what’s in it for me” types. I think that’s a big part of *my* problem, I simply can’t conceive of trying to shake down people illicitly.
And so, I am unprepared when…
13It’s obvious that scammers have an algorithm that pinpoints older people: perhaps on SS, Medicare. As I reached birthday #74 I am increasingly targeted by callers telling me I can get knee and back braces free from Medicare (If I ever need one, I will start with my primary physician, not someone in a boiler room), my computer is sick, the IRS is out to get me – in 24 hours – and help to consolidate my credit cards (” we have been monitoring your credit history…”) I am not rich, but I have a near perfect credit score, mortgage paid off, and I settle my credit card statements when they arrive. My recent hospital stay of 5 days resulted in a bill of $0.00. I am not perfectly canny: I still am waiting for the Prize Patrol.
14Cruz is a complete and total weasel…with apologies to weasels everywhere.
15This kills me just like the Reverse Mortgages being pushed by Tom Sellick and even Alex from Jeopardy.
Don’t those 2 have enough money they have to promise old people that they trust those companies and we should too?
Many end up losing their houses when the Mortgage companies change hands. Usually desperate elderly.
Yay for Beto! Democrats future!
16I’ll file this with my phonecall from sgt baloney of the IRS
17Roy Cohn (trump’s evil mentor) used to send out fake “subpoenas” which were actually invitations to his birthday party, but trying to scare the elderly is even worse. Not to mention ripping off the USPS and the law cited by Rep. Wu. Disgusting.
I don’t live in Texas but I have to find a few dollars for Beto today.
18My wife and I are old, 90 and 76, and we got one of those from Ted. I didn’t open it but did tear it in half and put it in the recycle bin, but Ted himself isn’t worth recycling.
19Frankly, this is on par with stomping baby chickens!
20Now that cruz claims Beto wants to ban bar b que I wonder if teddie is going to ban tex- mex food or any dishes that originated south of the border.
21After all wasn’t the fear that there would be a taco truck on every corner one of demented donnies minions used a justification to vote for the dmented one?
What is the national dish of north of the border? Caribou…
22A version showed up in San Angelo, bearing the return address on the envelope: Tom Green County Official Summons.
I’m wondering how many counties and how many summons letters went out and to whom (like older folks) they were targeted.
Any others elsewhere???
