Just a placeholder for now, for us to meet and hug during this unfolding tragedy. We know nothing more than a gunman invaded a Planned Parenthood armed with a long gun and some suspicious bags.
I will bet you this, though: white, male, 30 to 60, possibly ex-military, Christian, right wing, xenophobic, racist, FOX-watching, good ol’ American homeland-grown terrorist!
And probably with a Trump “Make America Great Again” trucker hat, to boot.

3One point you missed, Juanita. Colorado Springs is way up in the high altitudes of Colorado, somewhere around 6100 feet. That’s up high enough that there’s less oxygen in the blood. That means less oxygen in the brain. Do you suppose that might explain why there’s so much nuttery in that place?

Some news reports said 11 people were shot, 5 were police officers. It has been said deaths occurred but that is not common knowledge. This clinic, in the heart of uber-Christian real America…does not provide abortions. In their America, a woman puts her life on the line to be treated for a yeast infection.

On November 12, 2015, Write Into Action reported Curtis and Danielle Kekoa, Northglenn, Colorado, were contacted by the Denver FBI.
Write Into Action has contacted Danielle Kekoa and she stated, “Holy crap! I just told the FBI to expect another attack!”
Kekoa said she told the FBI agent during an interview on November 24th.
Kekoa said, “FBI agent told us we don’t another Dr. Tiller on our hands”.

It has now been 9 hours since AP reported on this attack and no GOP Candidates have condemned the action. I shouldn’t be surprised, I believe it was Rubio who said, “religious believers are called to ignore laws that violate their faith. I guess that means this was an exchange of ideas – with bullets. And they say there is no war on women.
One last observation the phrase, “pro life gunman,” is the the most utterly ridiculous thing I think I’ve ever heard. I can’t believe CNN said that and followed it up with the description of the shooter as, “an older gentleman”! Let that be a lesson to you boys an girls shoot away but be polite.
23So a white guy shooting at and wounding policemen is captured alive and unharmed, but a black kid with a three inch knife walking away from policemen is killed because they felt threatened? My, my.
Praise to the police in this situation and I will hope that they would have used those skills in any situation no matter who is the cause of it. I just wish they would spread those skills to the many police departments in the country that don’t seem to have them.

While we were watching the terrorist attack in Colorado, some idiot CNN announcer referred to the Colorado Planned Parenthood clinic as “an abortion clinic.” False. Wrong. And, Inflammatory. The clinic at which the murders took place offers reproductive health care services, but does not offer termination care.
The moron murderer did not have a clue as to the services provided. He took it upon himself to murder based on inflammatory rhetoric and misinformation.

32Colorado Springs is the home of Focus on the Family, Tony Perkins, and various other winger bible groups, plus the US Air Force Academy (which has a lot of winger Xtian professors who get busted once in awhile for using their positions of power to evangelize the cadets), and Fort Carson Army base. It is deeply red, but also includes a small but very active liberal population who are organized and do fight back. I’m amazed it even had a PP office, though not amazed that it did not provide abortion services considering how red and armed the locals are.
This guy is being reported as from North Carolina; no doubt those libelous, selectively edited videos got him riled up enough to make a road trip, and he had plenty of access to hate radio to keep up his spirits every mile of the way.
Folks, we either win this next presidential election AND achieve a congressional majority, or the rest of our lives is going to be one retrograde USSC decision after another, with the NRA running the capital even more than it does now.
