“What the Hell is Wrong With You?” – Collin County Judge Tells Worried Parent of School Children

August 12, 2021 By: Jet Harris Category: Coronavirus, Gleeful Cruelty and Dickishness, Healthcare, Local Stuff

Yesterday, a parent responded to his refusal to mandate masks in schools despite the CDC recommendation that all schools must do so to protect the health of children against the delta variant. His response to his constituent on his official Facebook page starts with “WTH is wrong with you?”

Chris Hill also campaigned maskless in November, shaking the hands of many of his constituents. He later discovered he had COVID during this time, and then deleted all of the photos of himself campaigning without a mask.

Elections have consequences, Collin County. Specifically, tent hospitals, refrigerated body trucks, children on ventilators, and 870 fatalities.

This is serious shit with schools already starting and even fully vaccinated people getting the new more dangerous delta variant ( which we can call the abbutt-desantass variant).

I apologize if you read this already (I commented this on an older article below “Back to work” so many won’t read it) but I’m so proud of my DIL for what she did yesterday with respect to rude/ignorant anti-maskers I’m sharing it again:

I have a little story I found humorous (if that’s possible). Yesterday, my masked up daughter-in-law was getting Starbucks for her office (she’s a dental office manager) and a man and women stood very close to her in line, unmasked. He got closer and closer and then got in her face to say you can lose the mask don’t you know? She replied, don’t you know trumpf lost the election so get away. Not sure there was applause in the store but another guy in line came forward and paid for all her coffees. The unmasked maggot moved back.
Glad Oregon has a mask mandate starting tomorrow, Friday the 13th.

  3. Schools in Collin County, TX are unmasked. It’s day 2. One elementary school has already sent a note home with two positive covid cases. A parent sent two kids to school sick on day one.

  4. My response?
You can’t enjoy freedom if you’re dead.
    Just saying

  5. When a parent loses a child, the grief, torment and desolation is all encompassing. As time passes, the parent(s) pain might surface to act on an arrogant judge’s cruel comments, a deaf politician’s “threats.” “To inflict “justice” and the pain they themselves have endured. Maybe, something worse.

  6. Grandma Ada says:

I hear people say only 1% of people die from COVID, and I want to ask, would you like that person to be from your family? Abbott is mad with power and it’s time the courts or someone remind him. Then he can go back to pushing for no abortions, no gender counseling for minors . . .

  7. Interesting how he vocally doubles down on not giving a rat’s patootie about education – he must want the company.

  8. This is the same individual who tied to be cute on camera early in the first wave. When recommendations from the state were to shut down non-essential businesses, he stood up in front of a local news channel and said that since this applied to ‘non essential businesses’, he was classifying all businesses in Collin as ‘essential businesses’ and would not be enforcing closures.

For those of us who live in Collin, it was noteworthy that Denton county with a similar population has highly organized and efficient online and on the ground vaccination processes. While in Collin it was charitably characterized as a cluster muck of the highest order. It took citizens appearing in front of the council to ask questions during the increasing wave of infections to get these yahoos moving. The judge responded by essentially pointing at the IT guy and indicating he was at fault. Right.

Don’t to this guy to meet his obligations regarding public safety. Look to him to perform as a political hack of the highest order.

I am reminding my neighbors of his past stances which are consistent. Voting can’t get here soon enough.

  9. Anyone who believes their so called “freedom” is limited by wearing a mask, should consider the how limited their freedom would be in grave plot.

    9
  10. Evidently having a working brain is NOT a prerequisite to become a judge in TX.

  11. Jane & PKM says:

Jane and I have preschool and kindergarten age sons. Until the NV vaccination rate reaches 80+%, with vaccine and mask mandates, we will continue to homeschool. NV was approaching less than 100 infections per day, when Governor Sisolak lifted the mask mandate; we’re back at 2000 reported cases per day.

To say the least we’re not happy that the dead Shelly Adelson’s and other casino moguls profits were given consideration of their profits over the lives of Nevadans. We had a chance to beat this ***if only*** sound medical decisions like mask mandates, vaccination mandates had been the rule.

Nick and the sane teachers would probably appreciate a “parents revolt” as to school openings. Problem is the disrespect for education has been with us since at least Spiro Agnew. Too many parents view school as a babysitting service instead of the chances(s) it means for their kids’ success.

Instead the ‘rule’ was a flawed ‘honor’ system that went into place with the vaccinated not required to wear masks, while the unvaccinated were. Felony stupid to trust the antivaxxer covidiot maskholes. Bets? Anyone still wearing a mask during that period was vaccinated and had the sense not to trust the covidiots?

    11
  12. Jane & PKM @ 11,

I am vaccinated and never stopped wearing a mask, even after we were told it was OK to go without. I never trusted the honor system.

    12
  13. Well, I was st00pid enough to vote for this dimwit!! Nor am I dimwitted enough to follow his advice!! & like #12 I also continue wearing mask around people, cuz we know how good & honest people are.

  14. Nick Carraway says:

We finished our in service meetings this week and seeing who masked and who didn’t was fascinating. The entire science department masked up. Most of the English department did as well. The Social Studies department (which is loaded with loud mouth conservatives) did not. Unfortunately, in my particular position, I go into other teachers rooms to support students with learning disabilities. We never know which teachers we will need to support, so I keep my mouth shut. Challenging the history teachers is tempting but could make for an unpleasant year.

Talked to my sister in NM last night. Her daughter is a school nurse … Tuesday morning, during the first hour of the first day with students, a teacher forwarded a coughing child to her office. 102 degrees, and 90 minutes in the office until a parent could be located, notified, and appear to pick up the kid.

Hell of a way to start a new year — barely through the “hello, I’m your teacher Ms. Xxxx, what’s your name?” segment of the day, and a student has to leave. First thing after lunch, distribution of the notes to take home:
    * a child being sick
    * here’s the list of nearby locations with COVID tests, and
    * we will send a note on Friday about whether the class will be online or in person next Monday.

Well, they get what they vote for. Collin County is still a very Rethug place, although trending towards the Democrats lately.

FYI- A County Judge in Texas isn’t a judicial position, they are the elected chief executive of the County Commissioners Court, a primarily legislative body that runs the county.

    .
FYI2– If any of y’all are having trouble reading your computer screens lately, you may be among the latest victims of some recent Microsoft Windows 10 update changes.
I’ve been going crazy lately, much of the time I was having a lot of trouble reading my screen. Everything was various levels of blurry, and it seemed to vary. I was seriously thinking that my vision was going, maybe developing some medical conditions that affect your vision.
Nope, just another g’damned victim of a stupid Microsoft update ‘improvement’.
MS surreptitiously added some POS ‘feature’ that jacks around with your screen rendering.
In Windows “System Settings” under “Display”, there is something called “Advanced Scaling Settings” “Fix Scaling for Apps”. Turn that g’damned mofo OFF.
Once I shut that sucker off, everything on the screen is crystal clear again, the eyestrain is gone. I’m not actually going blind or crazy! Well, definitely not blind…

I rlyrly hate Microsoft of late, Windows has always been a major source of aggro [and I was a MS beta-tester for many Win versions].
Win10 actually was a pretty good improvement over the previous Win OSs, but lately they have been jacking around with these ‘updates’ that have degraded things. Oh well, we can look forward to Microsoft Windows 11 in a while… [unless you’re running Apple or Linux systems].

  17. Sandridge says:

Well, unsurprisingly, Maskhole3 and proto-felons Abbutt and Paxturd have continued their lawsuit blizzard beyond the Dallas area, and now are attacking against the Bexar County mask requirements [for schools, etc.]; which were facilitated by the county Health Director, Dr. Woo, Judge Wolff, and San Antonio Mayor Nirenberg.

At the same time that ICU beds for both children and adults are nearly 100% filled [under 10 left, in a metro area of ~2M+, iirc].

Without a doubt, the next health policy decision made in Bexar should be to announce that all future ER incoming COVID19 patients will be triaged.
Those who are unvaccinated and unmasked will have their gurneys wheeled to a basement hallway near the morgue, and will be given such medical attention as is available, after all others have been taken care of [even such as minor stitching and toothaches, etc.].

It’s [past] time for many more politicians, ISDs, parents and people to now rise up and DEFY the livin’ shit outta Abbutt and Paxturd; publicly, politically, legally and any other way possible.
If enough people and local governments unite against these MAGAotty tRumpbuttkissing sadistic serial mass-murdering sonuvabitches, they will be rendered impotent.
It would be impossible for the bastards to deploy enough of their corrupted miniAGs and DPS stormtroopers to overcome the resistance.
