Well, now a Republican Congresswoman has asked for the lovely and charming Blake Farenthold to step down.

The first thing I ought to mention is the Pew Poll that shows Trump is losing support in every category there is.  College grads – down. White people – down.  Hispanic gay females with physical handicaps and live in rural areas – way the hell down.

A new Quinnipiac poll finds 70% of Americans believe the U.S. Congress should investigate allegations of sexual harassment against President Trump, while 25% say he should not be investigated.

Well, another Republican is out.

Arizona Republican Rep. Trent Franks is expected to resign, Roll Call reported Thursday afternoon. An Arizona Republican told the digital political outlet that his resignation is likely tied to unspecified allegations of inappropriate behavior. “There’s been rumors swirling around him for years, at least in 2012,” the Republican source said. “And if this turns out to be true there won’t be that many people who are surprised.” Franks’ office said he will make an announcement on Thursday.

Franks is a pro gun, anti abortion, flat tax, anti gay, goofy talking fool.  He was not a fan of President Obama, calling him “an enemy of humanity.”  And other stuff —

“Obama’s first act as president of any consequence, in the middle of a financial meltdown, was to send taxpayers’ money overseas to pay for the killing of unborn children in other countries. Now, I got to tell you, if a president will do that, there’s almost nothing that you should be surprised at after that. We shouldn’t be shocked that he does all these other insane things. A president that has lost his way that badly, that has no ability to see the image of God in these little fellow human beings, if he can’t do that right, then he has no place in any station of government and we need to realize that he is an enemy of humanity.”

Oh how the haughty crumble.

There was another school shooting today.  You can find it tucked under the fold after Franken, California fires, Hezbollah responding to the Trump foolishness, and more Franken.

Two students were killed after gunfire erupted early Thursday at a New Mexico high school, according to law enforcement authorities.

The San Juan County Sheriff’s Office said the person believed to have opened fire at Aztec High, a school of about 1,000 students near the Colorado border, is also dead.

It doesn’t even make the news anymore.

Al Franken just resigned, but this Texas Democrat has stayed in office.
