Guaranteed Court Tested

I cannot swear or attest to this for a fact, but I am told this is English.  There are even those who say that it was written by an adult.

So now Saturday Night Live does not have First Amendment protection?  And Trump wants to sue them for what? Making fun of him?

Bigger question yet: how does he know they are a spin machine if he doesn’t watch the show, which he swears he doesn’t.  Is stuff leaking in under his tin foil hat?

It has long been my opinion that what makes Republicans different is their total and complete lack of a sense of humor.  Seriously, they have had humorectomies.  Name me one funny Republican. See?  Okay, so Roseanne Barr.  No. And here’s why. Political humor is the powerless poking the powerful. Republicans make fun of the powerless and that’s not funny. It’s mean and hateful.

More importantly, have you ever heard of a Republican who could make fun of themselves?  Oh hell no.

There’s my soap box.  I still don’t think that’s English in his tweet.

So This Is Our Future?

Remember George Papadopoulos, the former Trump campaign aid who lied to the FBI and spent 14 days in prison for it?

He says, “we all make mistakes.”  Yeah, but lying to the FBI about meeting with Russians to influence the United States elections, is a bigger mistake than, say, forgetting paper towels at the grocery store.

He’s running for congress.

In the Telegraph interview, Papadopoulos, who resides in the Los Angeles area, named Orange County as where he hopes to find a congressional seat.

“Now that Los Angeles is home I just have to find a little Republican enclave somewhere in this part of the country and run there,” he said in the interview.

Okay, so best I can figure Papadopoulos was in prison when Orange County flipped blue and the poor soul is totally unaware that Republicans no longer get elected there but it sure will be fun when he finds outs.

Donald Trump has a new Chief of Staff.  Yeah, and you thought once Chris Christy turned it down it was mission impossible. Lots of people wanted that job. Lots. Fast Eddie over at Baytown Adult Entertainment and Bicycle Factory was begging for it.

Hey, I’m still wondering who the secret court session was about.  Mike Pence, maybe? Don, Jr? Individual 2?

Newt: For When the Bottom of the Barrel Isn’t Deep Enough

December 13, 2018 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Well, there’s Newt. Oh, good Lord, just when you think it can’t get worse, there’s always Newt.

Mr. Impeachment?  Newt Gingrich?

Hey, maybe he could bring along Tom DeLay, Bob Livingston, wife 1 or 2, that look down his nose at Bill Cinton’s sex life, and his once last desperate chance at relevance.

I mean, the more Trump talks about a government shutdown, the more Newt Gingrich feels comfortable.

I’ve had a touch of whatever-that-is-that’s-going-around so I ran out and got a medical alert bracelet just in case.

Thanks to everybody for the heads up.

Oh Those Nice Baptists

December 12, 2018 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Houston’s First Baptist Church is an enormous joint.  Just look at their staff.

So no wonder it took them so long to discover the one of their ministers swiped at least $800,000 from them.

Prosecutors say Altic allegedly spent the stolen funds on overseas trips with his family, groceries and to pay for his doctorate in divinity from Lancaster Bible College.

They added that he stole the money in a number of ways, including forged payments authorizations.

I guess the other ministers thought manna from heaven was falling on their colleague.

Tuesday afternoon, his attorney said he has learned his lesson: “He’s actually met with the church and he’s asked for forgiveness.” said James Alston, Altic’s attorney.

The church says their insurance will pay $500,000 of it.  You mean they have insurance for this kind of thing in the Baptist church? And that donors say they will make up the rest.

When it takes you this long to discover their theft, you have too much money.

Thanks to SGray for the heads up.
