Greg Abbott Practicing His Human Act
My Governor.
And yes, he appointed the members of the ERCOT who he is now blaming for the Texas Ice Follies, trying to act like they are elected or something.

And meanwhile, people who look at numbers for a reason, have discovered something interesting.
Over the past two years, powerful energy interests with seats on ERCOT’s board invested $700,606 in the campaigns of the House members now investigating ERCOT—averaging $4,671 per member. Would that money have been better spent protecting the grid from severe weather?

Don’t Sass A Woman
There’s this guy named Richard Michetti, who decided that while he was inside the capitol of the United States of America committing insurrection would be a great time to show his ex-girlfriend live pictures of the event and a blow by blow description. Just to kick it up to a total ten on the jerk-o-meter, he texted her …
“If you can’t see the election was stolen you’re a moron,” Michetti wrote in a text to the woman, according to court documents.
The woman, who is unnamed, waited until the next morning to call the FBI. Just FYI, waiting until the next morning brought her down from a rare and perfect ten to a lesser but solid 9 on the bitch-o-meter.
Michetti, who lives in Ridley Park, Pa., has now been charged with knowingly entering a restricted building, violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, and obstruction of Congress. If convicted, Michetti, who was arraigned Tuesday in federal court in Philadelphia, faces up to 20 years in prison, reported the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Nice.
Should I Be Concerned?
I can balance a checkbook, but that’s about all. Should I be concerned about this?
Apparently the entire Fedwire system is down and banks can't send or receive wires right now. But for some reason the @WSJ has no news on this @willhorner @paulvigna

… and then there’s a lot of Xs on here at the Federal Reserve.
The Wall Street Journal doesn’t seem to be getting nuts about it, so it’s probably nothing but Mari emailed me to see if I knew anything and I don’t.
He’s a Child, Just a Child
There was a document at the Trump Hotel on how Trump was to be treated in the dining room.
He’s a child.
A tray of junk food was also required to be available. It had to include sour cream and chives Lay’s potato chips, Oreos, Nutter Butters, Milky Way and Snickers candy bars, Chips Ahoy cookies, Tic Tacs, gummy bears, granola bars, and chocolate-covered raisins among other items.
The best part of being an adult is that I don’t have to to eat that crap anymore. I can afford See’s candy, and kettle cooked chips from a street vendor, and cookies from a bakery.
His steak had to be the biggest one at the table and he was served special shrimp bigger than anyone else’s. To me, that says something about the size of his … uh, hands.
Thanks to Kary for the heads up.
Texas Has Another Senator
Our other Senator, John Cornyn, had some tasty words for OMB Director nominee Neera Tanden.
Take a deep breath.
Cornyn on OMB Dir nominee Tanden: "My friendly advice to President Biden is to withdraw Neera Tanden's nomination & select someone, who at the very least, has not promoted wild conspiracy theories & openly bashed people on both sides of the aisle that she happens to disagree with." pic.twitter.com/V9fnU2BKUk

Yeah, what kind of person would do something like that?
My advice to Cornyn? Buy a mirror, Stinky.
Thanks to Foresight for the heads up.
