As I told you, hatemonger Pamela Geller will speaking at the Sugar Land Community Center tonight at 6:30.  If you’re in the area, bring your sign and join in the fun.  Or, if you don’t have a sign, we’ll have the materials there to make one. This will be a peaceful protest. We will not do what they did to us.

Through the miracle of modern journalism, I will be posting pictures and reports of the event right here on the spot.   We know that just like the Ku Klux Klan, these people like to hide under sheets so we’ll be shining the light of day on their hate and unacceptable behavior.

Please come help Bubba hold up his banner —

Yeah, yeah, he hung that in our front yard in our very Republican neighborhood on inauguration day.  We got threats and ended up on the Houston news, laughing about it.  It was a bucket of fun.  He still has the banner and is bringing it tonight.

Well, Bless Your Heart, Ain’t That Just Real Christian Of You?

Republican Presidential Has-Been Mike Huckabee might try real hard to be a Christian but- boy howdy, yeehaw – that Dukes of Hazard lover just comes rolling out sometime.  You cannot take redneck out of an Arkansas boy.

Huckabee has some advice for the good folks who want to repeal an anti-union bill in Ohio: stay at home.

And he has some advice for the folks who want to keep the anti-union bill.  Do the Christian thing and let the air out of your enemy’s tires:

Find out who’s voting to repeal the bill and block them from ballot box. The onetime Arkansas governor suggested deflating tires and giving these voters the wrong election date. “That’s up to you, how you creatively get the job done,” Huckabee quipped.

Honey, you do not say things like that to people who list knowing how to roll back an odometer as a job skill on their resume.    And for Pete’s sake, do not ask them to be creative.  You’re just begging for a bunch of self-inflicted injuries.

Redneck Hot Tub

And as far as blocking the voters from the polls, is Chris Christie available?

Small Battles and Glorious Victories UPDATED

Most of y’all know who Pamela Geller is.  For those who don’t, she’s three broomsticks ahead of Cruella De Vil.

She hates Islamics.  All of them.  And she believes that Barack Obama is Islamic.  The Southern Poverty Law Center identifies her as a hate monger.  Some of her stuff goes like this:

“Islam is not a race. This is an ideology. This is an extreme ideology, the most radical and extreme ideology on the face of the earth.”
— Pam Geller On Fox Business’ “Follow the Money,” March 10, 2011

“Obama is a third worlder and a coward. He will do nothing but beat up on our friends to appease his Islamic overlords.”
— Pam Geller, AtlasShrugs.com, April 13, 2010

“Hussein [meaning President Obama] is a muhammadan. He’s not insane … he wants jihad to win.”
— Pam Geller, AtlasShrugs.com, April 11, 2010

The Sugar Land, Texas, Tea Party invited Geller to a book signing and lecture at the Hyatt Hotel in Sugar Land.  Geller told her readers that she was coming to Texas “locked and loaded.”

Oh yeah, like everybody who lands at an airport in Texas gets issued a handgun.

Sugar Land is one of the most diverse cities in America, including a large Islamic population.

The Sugar Land Democrats Club organized a “Peaceful Protest” of her visit across the street from the Hyatt and sent out press releases this morning.

Within two hours, this came:

Alert/Alert – The General Manager of the Hyatt Place Hotel in Sugar Land, Texas called me at 10:30am Monday, Oct 17th and informed me that the Hyatt Place Hotel has canceled the Sugar Land Tea Party event with Ms. Pamela Geller as speaker and they have informed the Sugar Land Tea Party. On behalf of the leadership of the Sugar Land Democrat Club and the Fort Bend County Democratic Party and all citizens of Sugar Land Fort Bend County who respect and believe in diversity I wish to thank the Hyatt Place Hotel of Sugar Land for canceling this event. We will not hold our protest outside the Hyatt Place Hotel. Please stay tuned for further announcements later today.

The manager of the Hyatt did not know of Ms. Geller’s work and apologized deeply.

I want you to remember that as you travel.  The Hyatt did not want to sponsor hate.  Give them your business.

I have my sign made and ready for where they move it to.  I hear the Grand Ballroom at Hackin’ Harry’s Hotel and Distillery is available.

UPDATED:  Well, I wasn’t far off with Hackin’ Harry’s.  They moved the event to the Sugar Land Community Center on Matlage Way.  Come join us.  Bubba is going and promises to email me pictures!

Apparently, the Koch Brothers Like Thin Crust, Real Thin

October 17, 2011 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Poor Herman Cain.  The guy hasn’t figured out that he’s being used as a token, a placeholder, and a fool all at the same time.  I mean, you just gotta feel bad for a guy who is so dense that smart can’t escape.

First off, the Koch Brothers have their hand up the back of his suit coat —

Cain’s campaign manager and a number of aides have worked for Americans for Prosperity, or AFP, the advocacy group founded with support from billionaire brothers Charles and David Koch, which lobbies for lower taxes and less government regulation and spending. Cain credits a businessman who served on an AFP advisory board with helping devise his “9-9-9” plan to rewrite the nation’s tax code.

And now he’s trying to shut down every decent Tex-Mex restaurant in Texas.

If Herman Cain becomes president, he’ll build an electrified border fence that could kill Mexicans who try to illegally cross into the U.S., the Republican candidate said Saturday.

“It’s going to be 20 feet high. It’s going to have barbed wire on the top. It’s going to be electrified. And there’s going to be a sign on the other side saying, ‘It will kill you — Warning,’” Cain said, according to the New York Times. He also said the sign would be “in English and in Spanish.”

Personally, I think it is a marketing tool.  The fence is there to keep us IN to force us to eat his crappy pizza.

Cain later said it was a joke.  I dunno, call me humorless, but this ain’t real funny to me:

Responding to anyone who might consider his remarks “insensitive,” Mr. Cain said the real fault lies with some illegal immigrants. “It’s insensitive for them to be killing our citizens, killing our border agents,” he said. “That’s what’s insensitive. And that mess has to stop.”

Wait, wait, let me tell you what the joke is ….

Herman Cain.

(Snicker, snicker)

Well, It Ain’t Country Joe and the Fish, But It’ll Do

Every people’s movement has to be set to music.  I think it’s the law.

The Occupy movement is now official – it has music.

Your daddy lost his pension

Your daughter’s school needs fixin’

Your brother’s back in prison

The lesson here ain’t kumbaya

Like overnight the change gon’ come? Nah

But what they got?

We got 99, they got 1

Problem — and it’s us!

Catchy and confrontational.

If they can get Pete Seeger to sing it, I’ll join in on the chorus.

This Is Just Mean

October 16, 2011 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Now y’all are just jackin’ with Michele Bachmann.  You’re just getting mean.

Presidential candidate Michele Bachmann, now in sixth place in the latest NBC/Wall Street Journal poll,  told a Fox News audience Thursday that she wants to reinstitute the Reagan tax plan.

“For my tax plan, I take a page out of one of my great economists that I admire, Ronald Reagan. And under my tax plan I want to adopt the Reagan tax plan. It brought the economic miracle of the 1980s. Why not go with what works? You can’t argue with success. I want to reinstitute the Reagan tax model from the 1980s.”

So, none of you turkeys bothered to tell her that under the Reagan tax plan, taxes would go UP, or that Reagan is the Father of the Buffett Rule.  Y’all know she can’t read and has no idea what happened before lunch on any given day, much less 30 years ago.  You’re just being mean now.

Next y’all are going to tell her that Galileo endorsed her.   Or that 666 is now the sign of the tea party.  Or that husbands are often incorrect and gay.
