Here’s the Deal

October 03, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

I have decided to go to the debate watch party.  So, I am going to leave this open thread for you guys to comment.  I’ll check in every now and then to offer smirks and approve comments.

Some damn fool made three appointments for me today.  I gotta quit doing that.

Oh Todd, You Little Devil You

He found us out, Girlfriends.

We love abortions so much that sometimes we go have them when  we’re not even pregnant.  You know, just for fun.

“It is no big surprise that we fight the terrorists because they are fundamentally un-American, and yet we have terrorists in our own culture called abortionists. One of the good pieces of news why we are winning this war is because there are not enough heartless doctors being graduated from medical schools. There is a real shortage of abortionists. Who wants to be at the very bottom of the food chain of medical profession? And what sort of places do these bottom-of-the-food-chain doctors work in? Places that are really a pit. You find that along with the culture of death go all kinds of other law-breaking: not following good sanitary procedure, giving abortions to women who are not actually pregnant, cheating on taxes, all these kinds of things, misuse of anesthetics so that people die or almost die.

His lips are flapping but the sounds coming out ain’t language.

And Mitt Romney thinks this guy belongs in the United States senate.

Thanks to Brian for the heads up.

Brad Staats, a Republican candidate for Congress in Tennessee, is such a … well, Republican.

He’s trying to win friends and influence people.

Mr. Staats posted a picture On this Facebook page of his black and silver Colt 1911 semi-automatic pistol with the message, “Welcome to Tennessee, Mr. President.”

I think a gift basket would have sufficed.

Todd Akin: Keep Talking

October 02, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Talk dirty to me, Todd.

Come on, Baby, tell me that I have the freedom to work like a dog for a dog’s pay.

Oh, Baby, Baby.

“I believe in free enterprise. I don’t think the government should be telling people what you pay and what you don’t pay,” Akin said at a town hall meeting on Thursday. The comment came in response to a question about Akin’s decision to vote against the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009, which has made it it easier for women to challenge unequal pay.

Yeah, I like freedom, Todd, and there’s nothing quite like your  freedom to squash me.  It keep me in line, right?

Keep talking dirty, Todd.   We ladies like that.

Yeah, give Plutocracy a chance.

Thanks to PolishSpring for the heads up.

Your Plans

I am always conflicted about where to watch the Presidential Debates.

Do I stay at home with Ole Bubba and watch where I can hear or do I go to a debate watch party with a lot of other Democrats and risk sitting next to the guy who thinks he’s the third candidate and loudly debates both of them?  Or the woman who screeches every time President Obama scores a point.

I like being with my people, but I also like the hear the debate.

What are you guys doing?

It’s Not Your Math That I’m Worried About, Paul. It’s Your Arithmetic.

October 02, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Paul Ryan has announced that while the math for his budget plan is far too complicated for little ole me to understand, the math adds up because he says so.

Why would I not trust him on this?  After all, he can do math.  I can only do arithmetic.

So everybody pays 20% less taxes but we make up for it by closing loopholes.  Okay, that seems like arithmetic and I’ll start adding that up as soon as you tell me which loopholes we’re talking about here.

Paul Ryan has been in Congress since Elvis died and if I have been paying 20% more taxes than I need to all that time, I’m kinda hacked off.  Hacked off at Paul Ryan.  Why has he been so quiet about this math trick?

I want to hear just three loopholes they would change.  And I bet that hiding your money off shore isn’t one of them.

Just guess, though.
