Apparently, Cheeto Jesus had more important business than the G20 in Hamburg, Germany.  So he sent Ivanka to represent the United States of America at the summit.  Just to review – Ivanka is unelected, unvetted, unappointed, and unapproved to represent the US in ANY matter, much less the G20.  Here she is sitting among world leaders while Daddy – tweets?

Oh, and Daddy tweeted this yesterday.  I guess “fighting” only applied to one day.

Out of the blue I asked, “Have you ever read Reinhold Niebuhr?”

Obama’s tone changed. “I love him. He’s one of my favorite philosophers.”

So I asked, What do you take away from him?

“I take away,” Obama answered in a rush of words, “the compelling idea that there’s serious evil in the world, and hardship and pain. And we should be humble and modest in our belief we can eliminate those things. But we shouldn’t use that as an excuse for cynicism and inaction. I take away … the sense we have to make these efforts knowing they are hard, and not swinging from naïve idealism to bitter realism.”

This exchange is from a piece written by David Brooks back in 2007 recalling a conversation with Barack Obama.  It’s just one example of the nature of a proper President of the United States, which Obama possesses in spades.  He can talk college basketball or philosophy, your choice.  The parasite infesting our WH today?  Not so much.  Between boasting and gorging on well-done steaks, Trump sits on the toilet tweeting childish insults and lies on a daily basis.

How far we’ve fallen in such a short time.  God help us.

The Washington Post continues its battle against darkness and Trump World.  Today, it revealed that Trump has hung a fake Time magazine cover in at least 5 of his resorts.  This cover was never published by the magazine.

So.  The clown who perpetuated the lie about President Obama’s birthplace for SIX YEARS, and has lied on a daily basis since he started his campaign for the presidency faked a Time Magazine cover to self aggrandize.

What an ass.

Yesterday, Newt Gingrich, career philanderer and prolific liar, made the head-snapping pronouncement that a US president “cannot obstruct justice“, and can fire anyone he wants to fire, regardless of legality.  His comments were made at the National Press Club where he was peddling his new collection of fairytales, Understanding Trump, which is his usual pile of manure delivered with the gravity of a college professor.  Apparently to Gingrich, there is a completely different set of rules for a Democrat in the WH than for a Republican.

Never burdened by the truth or a sense common decency, Gingrich is famous for delivering these kinds of proclamations that swing from one wild lie to another, changing his “sincere” belief to match whatever argument he’s positing at the time.  This proclamation, though, is especially egregious; when he was speaker of the house, he lead the impeachment of Bill Clinton for lying about having a sexual affair and obstruction of justice.   To make matters worse, at the time of the impeachment, he was having an affair himself with his current wife, Calista, while going after Clinton for his affair.  He was forced out of the Speaker job in 1999 under a storm cloud of ethics violations and election losses.

Gingrich is a shameless liar and his books are useful as two things: Kindling and toilet paper.
