Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
Maybe the guy on the right in yellow sombrero knows the answer.
1That’s a halo. It sheds light. As in “unto the world.” Those glasses on the GOP symbol have those lenses that tint dark when exposed to really bright light. Ten to 10 the elephant at the table can’t even see the other side, but then, that was the plan.
2@maggie, I’m pretty sure the guy on the left (which is sort of ironic, now that I think about it) will see the halo as a sombrero, and since he can’t see sombrero-wearing people, either, he still can’t see the other side.
3Haloed hippie will be squashed by the elephantine oligarch. There is no room for compassion in the GOPiverse.
4Looks like Hey Zeus has His work cut out for him trying to convince the elephantine Republican to empathize with his fellow man. It would take an act of God. Wait…
5Not hard to guess which side Jesus is on.
6Bet the koch bros could bribe him.
7Or at least get wingnut congress to fine him for wasting all that natural light that the koch bros can’t profit from. Then congress gives the fine to the koch bros and life goes on.
8Ever hear the saying, “More money than God”? The Koch’s have nothing on his bankroll!
9Not holding my breath waiting for Dad or Junior to light up the GOP. However, I will certainly enjoy observing them squirm, when Pope Francis visits Congress.
10Luckovich and Jimmy Carter make the state of Georgia tolerable.
11I do not live there anymore but it is where I was born and grew up.
Props! This debate needs props! Give that well dressed elephant guy a needle and a camel that’s branded “Corporate Subsidies” on it’s rump.
12“If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn’t help the poor, either we have to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we’ve got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and then admit that we just don’t want to do it.” — Stephen Colbert
13Hmmm.
14Thanks, Rhea! I forgot about that quote, but it’s (I’m really not making a pun here — really) right on the money! Are ya’ Christian or Kristian?
15If god has so much money, why are there so many poor folks? Is his holiness hoarding his bankroll because Ron Paul says we are headed for a bigger financial fiasco than 2008? Curious minds want to know.
