Can’t Say I’m Shocked

July 26, 2018 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

8:30 pm Texas Time — CNN is breaking and NBC confirms that Cohen is willing to tell Mueller that Trump knew about the meeting with the Russians at Trump Tower prior to the meeting.  It appear that Cohen was told about the meeting by Trump, Jr.

My theory is that the leaks are coming from Trump’s lawyers who are releasing it to try to control it.

By the way, there’s a meeting of the National Security Council about election interference tomorrow at the White House. Trump is slated to lead the meeting.

More to come ….

If Cohen is telling the truth — and I bet he is — then little Trump Jr. gave phony baloney testimony before Congress.

Gosh darn. His dad must be SO proud.

  2. Could there be a tape?

  3. Popcorn.

Note to self: get a big box of popcorn at Costco tomorrow.

    3
  4. You mean a meeting of the NSC about interference with the interference with the election interference.

    4
  5. If this were about President Obama, or any Democrat, 60 million MAGAots would be rabidly frothing at the mouth, yowling at the moon, and screaming about Commie Kenyans, emails and LH/HU.

But it’s about Team Treason, RAT45 and viper spawn, big yawn.

Starting to look like Mueller has a carton full of silver stakes and a box of silver bullets now though. This could be most interesting, vampire season opening day soon?

    * Friday afternoon news dump
    * Nighttime during the work week
    * Weekends are good too, when interns hold down the fort at cable networks (sample Saturday Fox News ticker: Cowhen said to Miller, Russians might meet in Trump Tower)

  7. We all know that Trump pounds out tweets to distract the country from Mueller’s investigation. But I’ve wondered for a while if all of the public focus on Trump’s testimony about obstruction of justice is not misdirection being played by a master. Obstruction is going to be a hard thing to convince the public of, if there is no underlying crime. On the other hand, keeping Trump’s team focused on an obstruction charge lets the forensic accountants work in peace. Of course this is all speculation, but while Giuliani and the Russian bots are yammering about no obstruction, don’t be surprised if the truly damning charges come out of nowhere and hit Trump and company like a ton of bricks.

  8. Yup. I’m still sticking with my premise that Mueller knew all about everything but he goes by the book. Getting people to come face to face with him and lawyerly getting every jot and tittle down on the books is the cream on due process. When the books are written about this I rather see them as coming out in sets as volume, 1, 2, etc. etc. etc. just from one author.

  9. This, folks, is the ball game.

If 45 knew and approved of the meeting in advance, that’s conspiracy. Open and shut.

Obstruction will be easy to show now that conspiracy is so clear.

  10. It’s simple really. If it comes out of Trump’s mouth, it’s a lie, and the opposite is the truth.

Papa, does that meant that when the $hit hits the fan it goes everywhere?

  13. Susan on the Left Coast says:

Sam Nunberg, Trump campaign staffer on CNN:

Tapper: Do you think Donald Trump knew nothing about that [Trump Tower] meeting?

Nunberg: “No. You know he knew about it. He was talking about it a week before…I don’t know why he went around trying to hide it.

Oh and btw — that National Security Council meeting about election interference —- guess how long it went for. Half an hour.

Take away the time it took to pour the coffee and for each person to pick out a doughnut and – ** drum roll** – I give it 10 minutes, tops.

    Trump calls meeting to order.
Trump states, “There was no collusion. All in favor say ‘Aye.'”
    All attendees say, “Aye.”
    Trump adjourns meeting.
