But Only Because She Has Nothing Else To Do With Her Finger

Y’all, Jan Brewer is going to seek a third term, even though they have term limits and she needs to go.

Brewer thinks the law is “ambiguous” because it says “more than two consecutive terms.”  Yes, two is very ambiguous.

“I haven’t ruled it out, and I’ve been encouraged by people — legal scholars and other people — that it’s probably something that I ought to pursue,” Brewer told The Republic.

No, no, dear, no legal scholars.  Maybe the manicure industry, sure.  I think you’re confused.

  1. Did they teach a class in school called “Math for Politicians?” Because in the math class I attended, if I answered 3=2, or 3>2 is false, I wouldn’t have made it to the next grade. You don’t need a legal scholar for that. Just a 2nd grade teacher, if you haven’t cut her position.

  2. Wow, she really doesn’t get anything does she….Do Republicans just ignore EVERYTHING they don’t agree with?

  3. Everytime I see that picture, I smell stale cigarette breath. I know it’s my imagination. She looks like an old barfly.

  7. Thankfully that is Arizona’s problem.

They just re-elected 80 year old Joe Arpaio for another 4 years, his 6th term despite his currently being sued by both the DoJ and the ACLU.

He has cost Maricopa County more than $40 million to date to settle wrongful injury and death lawsuits brought by Maricopa County inmates and their families.

Look at that number another way, almost $5500.00 a day every day for the last 20 years

  8. There’s an old joke about math-challenged people counting “One, two, lots…” For Brewer it’s apparently “One, lots…”

  9. Some of these Republicans have followed the party slogan of the last few decades– “Reality is whatever we say it is”– so diligently that they believe it themselves. That’s why they’re so shocked that Romney didn’t win, and that’s why this dame can’t count to three.

Shouldn’t be surprised about Arpaio. AZ wasn’t on my vacation list anyway. I’d much rather go to Vermont, which voted 67% for Obama, beating even MD and MA (DC was 91%).

    Her legal scholars flunked math.

Is there any question that Jan Brewer Has no college degree. In fact it is doubtful that she has a high school diploma.

  12. Thank God the chances of my ever setting foot in Arizona again is just about ZERO. I’m just waiting for the next coupla years or so, when the sane people start overtaking the Bat-Guano crazies who have reigned supreme. Joe Arpaio, again? Really???

We visited the Meteor Crater and the Grand Canyon. What does it say about your state when the TOURIST ATTRACTIONS are large holes in the ground? A famous family story, starring yours truly: while we were in Tuscon to visit a family friend, a waitress asked a 3-4 year old Liz what she thought of Arizona, and I quote-
“it’s a nice place to visit but I wouldn’t want to live here!”
    Always the soul of tact.

  14. Okay! enough with the Arizona jokes! 1.Jan Brewer is “termed out” in 2014. That is the sole reason we are as tolerant of her antics as we have been.2. Joe Arpaio is not elected yet. There are many thousands of votes still to be counted, including mine and I sure as hell didn’t vote for him. Richard Carmona, Dem. candidate for Senator has rescinded his concession to Jeff Flake based on the thousands of votes still to be counted, and finally, Two of the House seats still in doubt have been called for Democratic candidates, including my own new district 9.No fat ladies singing around here!

    14
  15. Ambiguous? Two 1+1=2, Jan. Methinks the Guv is getting her “legal scholaring” from the same fools that gave Todd Akin his “doctoring education”.

  16. 4luv or bunny says:

Gramian’s correct. Historically AZ was largely Democrats and moderate Republicans, then we had a huge influx of red-staters come for the climate. This included politicians and soon we had few native sons or daughters to represent us. I happen to know one of those native sons who was standing next to the governor when she pulled that finger out of her holster. He happens to be a Republican of the moderate sort and he and President Obama have a respectful working relationship. He was deeply embarrassed with the governor’s half-cocked antics. It is telling that I do not use the governor’s name, nor do I reveal the identity of the elected native son; the first because she does not deserve the respect and the second as a caution that he isn’t driven to breaking that finger if it’s pointed at him.

  17. OK- now someone speak up if I’m wrong-(and the Good Lord knows I’m prone to that..) But actually , Brewer became Governor when the President picked Napolitano for Secy of Homeland Security. Technically, was she elected to her first term, or did she just float in on coattails?
