Burn, Baby, Burn
Just a couple of minutes ago on Twitter …
As someone who lives on the Texas Gulf Coast, I hardly know what to say. We flood. So you say we better learn to swim? Well, Darlin’, we have all the oil refineries so I hope you enjoy freezing in the dark.
Also, I don’t think Trump, of all the damn people in America, has room to tell anybody to get their act together.
You were either being kind or he corrected the tweet but he had originally spelled forest, forrest, twice!
1What a moron!
I’m never kind so I suspect I got there late.
2Well with that said, guess the state of California won’t be voting for Rump 2020.
3Can Mr. Know-Nothing-About-Nothing, especially forests (they don’t have many forests in Queens) actually do that? Doesn’t Congress have a say if he tries to do something that incredibly stupid?
4Someone’s cranky after hearing unfair reviews do his fantastic speech which wasn’t going to change a thing but he did it anyway. Time to change the subject!
5This is because he is mad at Nancy Pelosi.
6Isn’t California, unlike most red states, one of those states that send more money in the DC, than they ever get back? Maybe they need to figure out a way to stop DC from milking them of their money, so they can save it for disasters.
7God, I hate this mofo lunatic!
8Not a good day for Old Scratch McConnell who has been laying on grenades covering for Donnie. He no longer has Lyin’ Ryan to play with in the House. Knock, knock will not make his day, when it will be Senators Feinstein and Harris at his office door and the back door exit is blocked by Speaker Pelosi. He has decision(s) to make. Possibly today, but NLT Friday. Bets?
9The dickheadiest dickhead of all time. And I used to think the GOP served up a lot of true dickheads.
The ignorance of Individual-1, a.k.a., Unindicted Co-conspirator, is absolutely breathtaking.
10Did anyone in this maladministration get around to telling His Fraudulency that something like 50% of the forested area in Cali is contained in (wait for it…) National Forests?
As the great Bugs Bunny would say, “What a maroon.”
My favorite professor in my little hometown university, gone now two Christmases, often described his career as “xx years of pushing back the tides of ignorance.” Too bad His Fraudulency didn’t have an intellectual, honest mentor to guide his formative years instead of examples of greed and avarice to follow.
11Now why did the attitude in that tweet sound so familiar? Then it hit me. I taught school for about two years and it sounded exactly like a fifth grade boy who was raised in a gilded cage!
12LizzyMom, we agree with everything you stated. But with another ray of optimism: that the unindicted in “unindicted co-conspirator” has possibly already been indicted. Court filings this week, and it’s only Wednesday, are reading like the cliff notes to the character list of a Russian novel. The thing about indicting a sitting president has a major walk through: indict him under seal, then wait until he leaves office to slap him with it.
Micr, your favorite professor spoke of “tides of ignorance.” But who could have anticipated that tsunami of ignorance aka RAT45?
13So if there is a real emergency in America, fire, flood, hurricane, and your state’s representatives don’t throw their support behind Trump’s phony emergency – – no FEMA for you?
14maggie, with one delicious difference, “fifth grade boy” Donnie will have NDP as his teacher and RSM III as his Headmaster, with the Emoluments Clause and Russiagate as his tutorials.

Mr. President — Just yesterday, @OregonGovBrown, @GovInslee, and I sent a letter asking the federal government to work with us in taking on these unprecedented wildfires. We have been put in office by the voters to get things done, not to play games with lives.

Disasters and recovery are no time for politics. I’m already taking action to modernize and manage our forests and emergency responses.
The people of CA — folks in Paradise — should not be victims to partisan bickering.

Three governors to add to the list of those coming after Dotard45. Old Scratch McConnell can’t cover for him forever.
16@Jane & PKM
No. Even Hawking and Einstein collaborating together could not have predicted His Fraudulency riding a wave of hate into the presidency. The “tsunami of ignorance” to which you refer was just a “bonus” for his 30ish percenters. Kinda like finding that diamond in a goat’s a$$.
17California’s fire problem is of course exacerbated by global warming, which Donzo doesn’t believe in. But raking the forests, which works so well for Finland (it doesn’t), that’s the way to go.
Imbecile.
18If he was in rally mode we’d hear him prompt his base to scream “let it burn! let it burn!”
The irony, of course, is that most of California’s forest land is managed by Federal agencies and the rest are privately owned.
And yes…California sends more to the US treasury than it has ever received.

Californians endured the deadliest wildfire in our state’s history last year. We should work together to mitigate these fires by combating climate change, not play politics by threatening to withhold money from survivors of a deadly natural disaster.

Nancy Pelosi Retweeted Donald J. Trump
.@realDonaldTrump’s threat insults the memory of scores of Americans who perished in wildfires last year & thousands more who lost their homes. @GOPLeader must join me to condemn & call on POTUS to reassure millions in CA that our govt will be there for them in their time of need.
Note NDP’s reference to @GOPLeader. She’s going after him and she has plenty of good company. Thoughts and prayers, Mitch.
20Uh-oh. I live in Alaska. With proper earthquake management, Alaska never would have had the 7.0 earthquake on November 30. Unless we get our act together, which is unlikely, Trump will probably order FEMA to cut off all aid — which we are not getting already because Trump shut down the government.
I knew we were in trouble when he tweeted “Your Federal Government will spare no expense.” That’s Trumpese for “you’re screwed.”
Sorry momma.
21Puerto Rico got the paper towels, CA the rakes, plaster to fill in the cracks coming your way, slipstream.
22He’s just mad because California didn’t spend all that FEMA money on rakes…
23Dump is in the throes of his Mommy phobia. Having Nancy say “No” to him arouses his hatred of powerful women and it festers in his hard little heart. Perversely, it warms the cockles of mine.
24It has been hinted that this wonderful political ploy of our “esteemed president” of shutting down part of the government may mean that our funds from FEMA for flood control won’t reach us. His Majesty’s snit is far-reaching. If we should have another toad strangling rain soon (and ever – hahaha) when you are slopping around your water filled home – thank the orange slug.
