12I find the recent jingoism from the President-elect concerning flag desecration puzzling as these demonstrations are quite rare. I would however like to see the seventh item from the U.S. Flag Code enforced more stringently, that is: “The flag should never be used for any advertising purpose. It should not be embroidered, printed, or otherwise impressed on such articles as cushions, handkerchiefs, napkins, boxes, or anything intended to be discarded after temporary use. Advertising signs should not be attached to the staff or halyard,” -which is violated every day of the year.

14For a lifelong liberal, I have always found wearing flag clothes offensive….shirts, hats, bathing suits. jackets, I do not care, I do not like any of them. I would much rather see it burned to make a point then covering someone’s boobs or ass.

17I am in a somewhat contentious back and forth with a person on a completely different website re: flag burning. He would attack anyone burning it. I contend that the flag is a symbol and not as sacred as the promise it implies. I did ask him – and was not answered about how he felt about people who drive around in pickups emblazoned with Trump and Jesus stickers and flying the flag, and harassing people. Using the flag as a pronouncement of your self-inflicted patriotism is weak, and wearing flaggy clothes is a desecration of the symbol we revere. Hence, burn the bathrobes, while occupied.

Yeah, I just posted last night about Trump’s tie going down to his FUPA. I think I’ve even seen pics where the tie tip shows below his buttoned jacket. And they’re so wide, they almost look like a bib. Sooo classy!
I wonder if they’re unsold inventory from his signature line.
