Boris Johnson, who’s Trump-like response to the Coronavirus has caused an infection spike in the UK, has himself tested positive and is experiencing symptoms. He awoke from his stupid coma about the same time that Trump did, but his actions have been to strictly lock down the country, but it was too late to protect himself.

believe New York needs so many ventilators. It is long past time for him to need a machine to help him breathe, would that there was a machine to help him think.
Bojo’s orginal plan was much like what the Trumpoids have started pushing: just let the disease go through the population, lose a few (hundreds of thousands) people, and then herd immunity will kick in. We must not let the economy suffer, when some old folks who are gonna die soon anyway can sacrifice themselves for our stock prices.
At this point the best thing for the US is for Trump to get Covid-19. For some Republicans, it takes losing someone close to themselves to make them develop a vestigal sense of empathy. But Trump really values no one but himself, so it looks like our best hope is that he starts coughing.
I’m not a Christian (but think that dude Jesus had some really cool and even modern ethics), but feel saddened that I’ve come to hope some old guy gets a probably-fatal disease. On the other hand, I do hope he has a nice long life in Attica or Ossining starting in 2021.

7The British have suddenly realized how much they love and depend upon the National Health Service, hobbled though it is by years of Tory “austerity” cuts. If BoJo winds up on a ventilator, it will give him time to reconsider privatization.
