CNN has done a very cool project that compares what the Trump administration has said before and now about the Russian investigation.
They have both the flip and flop. It is amazing to me that everybody in America has a short term memory problem. Trump can contradict himself in the same speech and they don’t notice.

Trump supporters are like the Red Queen.

29 years ago Matt Taibbi wrote about the Tea Party and explained part of its success on “the American voter’s unmatched ability to forget what happened to him 10 seconds ago.”
Now it’s no longer a memory span; instead it’s all Pavlovian stimulus-response. The MAGAts hear “build the wall” and they start chanting “Lock her up!”. I’m serious; apparently in El Paso the knuckle-draggers and mouth-breathers broke out into that chant during Trumps’s middle school pep rally.
3Surly, have you noticed that the crowds are getting smaller and smaller? I do take comfort in that.
