Boehner Unchained
John Boehner has a book coming out, and he’s not holding back. Here’s an excerpt he’s released, and it’s a must listen, especially to the end. Trust me…
When @SpeakerBoehner was recording his audiobook I was told by sources that during these wine-soaked sessions he would deviate from the book’s text and insert random violent attacks on @tedcruz. Well, here’s some tape (listen to the end): pic.twitter.com/NFCQ2QFdTT

I’ll drink to that!
1He apparently did too.
2I never liked Boehner. I have no intention of reading his book. It will be like most books by professional politicians of the GOP, and while it may be “frank” in describing his dislikes, he showed no wisdom or charity while he was in office, and I doubt there’s any in his book.

Ditto.
4Politico ran a long excerpt from his book; he chastised all the newly (then) elected hate caucus as a bunch of money grabbers. What he didn’t say, but I think, is that the whole GOP are that and worse!
5I don’t believe in Boehner, and emphasize his complicity with the Birthers and Free-dumb Cacas, but it sure is nice to have confirmation that the views we had at the time with the racist/fascist undertones of the GOPs are being confirmed from the inside of the flying @$$monkey castle…
6I am in agreement with everyone who commented above.
Hate Boehner, who didn’t have the cajones to do anything about the boneheads in his party when he was in charge.
But I also enjoyed another audio clip where he describes the beginning of the Tea Party era when ” any moron could get elected as long as you has an “R” after your name”.
Seems that’s been the rule since 2009. Don’t see it changing any time soon.
7I also won’t read his book. I could make a crude joke about the Boehner and how much he likes himself, but don’t want to get banned from JJ’s salon. It’s not “hard” to figure out what I mean.
8OldFart, read at least the Politico excerpt. In that he says he got completely outmaneuvered on birtherism. I’ve never read a politician admit to that degree of failure.
I would not have been a fan of a successful Boehner but the failed one sounds interesting. What I’d want to find out is who he plotted with to preserve what we may call the Newer Old Guard.
One of the most interesting episodes in US political history was the secret plot against McCarthy by Eisenhower. It is impossible to say if it would have worked without McCarthy’s self-destructive errors, but with Ike plotting and LBJ restraining the Democrats (“It’s the Republicans’ problem.”), it did work.
In the 2000s, neither party has wily pols like Ike and LBJ.
