Beto!

October 02, 2018 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

I thought y’all might enjoy this New York Times take on Beto.

Besides the money you donated going to 17 counties in Texas for the over age 65 ballot by mail program, money you donated is going to block walking for Beto and our local candidates.  We have hit almost 5,000 houses.  It also went for 50 big Beto signs for Fort Bend County and a mailer to register progressive people who have moved into the county but have not changed their voter registration.  That’s had a great return and gave us about 3,000 new voters so far.

If I’m not here, it’s because I am working!

Thanks, guys.

    no, Susan: thank you

The day Texas goes blue, or even blue-ish, is the end of Republican hegemony and the beginning of the rebuilding of democracy and the rule of law in this nation.

I was delighted & honored to contribute to the effort. Have Beto & Mike Siegel (US rep. district 10) signs in my front yard. Currently sidelined from active block walking & driving to campaign offices by broken humerus, but helping where I can.

    Dear Proprietress:

If we don’t hear from you for a while, we’ll assume you’re out fighting the good fight. Drop by the WMDBS to blow off some steam that might otherwise get you arrested if done in public. But we’re prepared to postpone perms and hair cuts until Beto has been elected … and sworn in.

Good lord, only 5 weeks left. Those of us stuck in outlandlish places that aren’t Texas (like California or indiana) are cheering you on!

The NYT sure can turn a phrase: “oleaginous ghoul Ted Cruz.”

Though that may be an understatement.

So glad you’re recruiting votes for Beto in the wilds of east Texas. What a world of difference there is between Beto and his opponent. We in El Paso salute you! and thank you for your work on behalf of us “blue” Texans.

  8. JJ, you are truly doing the Lord’s work!!! We love Beto here in Virginia! As for Cruz smacking Beto’s background, here’s a smack right back in his direction. Cruz was once a lobbyist before he ran for office. Of course, he will tell you he was practicing law at a law firm but honey that law firm was a lobbying agency!
