  1. Yep, you win!

  2. And they make accomplishing almost anything a lot harder, and after they’ve been around for a while they’re just slushy and disgusting and you can’t wait for them to be gone so it can be spring again.

  3. How true.
    How sad for our grandchildren!

  4. I follow Ben on Twitter and he’s very witty, as that tweet shows.

Rhea, are you on Twitter? Have you tweeted that? If your answers are No, can I tweet It? I’ll gladly credit you.

  5. Don A in Pennsyltucky says:

And there were sure a lot of them around here today. Even though my county is an island of blue in a sea of red (probably because, like Austin, there’s a large research university here and large research universities tend to attract people who are good at thinking), we gots lots and lots of ding-wahs like the one who STILL has a sign on his pickumup that says “I’ll keep my guns and my money, you can keep your CHANGE”.

  6. Lunargent says:

    Don A –

It’s probably all that’s holding the bumper on.

  7. The truth about the rubes is this: Obama laughs at them today because in 2008 he ran, in part, to help them and never seeing this, they did not vote for him because he was black. Hair Drumpf laughs at them today because in 2016 he ran, in part to use their hatred to get elected, and as predicted, they voted overwhelmingly for him and he has nothing for them but loathing. The tuition to the school of hard knocks goes up every year.

  8. Was driving through a blinding snow squall on the way home from the office today and I had much the same thoughts as Ben! I’m from the far north country and I have never in all the time I lived there never experienced a snow squall or worse yet snow fog, the creepiest hair raising fog in the world. Blizzards I can handle. This other stuff, not so much! And by the way, all of the coating of snow around here looked pretty at first but it was so weak, so fickle that after doing no one any good at all, disappeared without an apology leaving behind wind damage and a multitude of hazards after dark. Hmmmm. Another similarity . . .

Second best laugh I’ve had this week, after watching Steven Colbert play Scrabble on a YouTube vid of “The Colbert Report.”

  11. Excellent. But I also applaud a comment I saw elsewhere referring to Trump and his Cabinet as “Vanilla ISIS.”

  12. Why are snowflakes being so badly besmirched?

    —————————————–

I have to say, the whole concept that *some people* just can’t take being insulted is as foolish as…
electing someone who’s catch phrase is “You’re fired!”…

  13. Okay, thanks Rhea.
