Best Guess

June 27, 2022 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Okay, who is the surprise witness tomorrow and what recently uncovered information does he or she have?

Thelma thinks it’s Ginny Thomas.  I don’t.  I’m wondering if it has something to do with John Eastman.  It’s gotta be somebody they are afraid will change their mind if they wait two weeks for the next hearing.

My source – Gossip & Hearsay, LLP  – is Herschel Walker and he’s going to reveal the 2 additional states no one knows about.

What’s your guess?

Maybe that British filmmaker that followed the Trump family from something like September to past Jan 6 2020-1?

  2. Steve from Beaverton says:

I agree that it’s Eastman and proof of who was in it with him (trumpf and family among others). I read they nabbed more electronics from him at a restaurant this morning. Probably a long night getting it all together for tomorrow. Too bad I’m watching grandkids tomorrow. Well not really.

Good guess! If I can’t have Ginni Thomas, I’d love to hear from that guy. I hope there’s lots of video.

Whoever is putting together these hearings is doing a bang-up job. No doubt it’s aided by not having to hear the Republicans talk about everything else under the sun. Good thing Mark Meadows wouldn’t let them on the Committee. Kinzinger and Cheney are doing outstanding work.

AACK! My first post was actually directed at Heidi Good, but Steve from Beaverton posted before I finished typing!

  5. Steve from Beaverton says:

My wife reminded me of Michael Cohen’s advice to John Eastman. He told him that he’s going to get thrown under the bus so better come clean or face real prison time. I’m waiting for the smoking on fire gun evidence and he could deliver. Maybe it’s him. Still needs prison time but don’t go alone. I’d also say that the British filmmaker’s video could add credence and be used tomorrow. If I make some popcorn in the morning for my grandkids, it’ll occupy them while I watch the juicy stuff.

  6. I hope it’s the filmmaker. I’ll bet he has plenty to tell.

I’m hoping it’s Haldeman, Ehrlichman, Mitchell, and Dean.

Cipollone? Maybe John Dean gave him a pep talk.

  9. Bill F. says:

Lots of people think it’s the filmmaker. I’m wondering about Mo Brooks. He’s one of the Congress critters who asked for a pardon. Trump through him under the bus and he lost his primary. It’s probably too soon for the committee to have deposed him privately, so he’s probably not tomorrow’s special guest, but if I were Mo, I’d be singing like a canary.

  10. weakgrip says:

Eastman is a possibility, but I think it is Jeffrey Clark. The searchers at his home were from DOJ’s Office of Inspector General (they also did Eastman). Clark is more in their line of fire.

Steve from Beaverton- met Betsy Johnson today at my lunch spot Six Corners. Not backing down.

    10
  11. RepubAnon says:

@ Bill F. : I agree – Mo Brooks has no more political future, and the committee would be more likely to trust another Congresscritter to testify live than other witnesses.

Alternatively, perhaps Mark Meadows had some texts to Eastman that made him think that becoming the John Dean of this matter would be the best way out.

From the sounds of things, the Republicans are increasingly likely to replay the Nixon/Ford – Carter – Reagan scenario, with Biden playing the Carter one-term President role, and DeSantis acting as The Great Con Artist Ronald “Death Valley Days” Reagan.

    11
  12. Steve from Beaverton says:

Weakgrip, I have no doubt Betsy Johnson thinks she has a chance but unless one of the other candidates drops out, the republican candidate will be Governor. The polls bare that out. Had she run as a Democrat, she had a chance. I’m sure the R’s are loving this.
For other readers in blue states where a big former dem is running as an independent, don’t be fooled. It don’t work.

    12
  13. I think it’s Mike Pence. His whole staff has testified so it’s time for him to come out of hiding and be a man.

    13
  14. Sam in Mellen says:

There’ll be even more from Meadow’s assistant.

    14
  15. Cassidy Hutchinson, she was a senior aide to former WH Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and recently fired her Trump sanctioned attorney and got a new one, presumably one who’s working for her as opposed to the former Cheeto in chief.

Hutchinson was with Meadows constantly throughout the period leading up to Jan. 6, & reportedly spoke to lots of Congress members & was in the West Wing that day. The first one who squeals gets the deal!

It’s possible she ties Trump, Meadows and/or members of Congress to foreknowledge or even an intention for violence to occur on Jan. 6 in order to pressure Pence.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see & hear from the documentary film maker in addition to this.

    15
  16. Okay I gotta be the turd in the punchbowl here.
    The hearings have been fantastic.
And IMHO it’s not just the absence of repugnantcans like gym jordan obnoxiously obstructing every chance they get. It’s the format, the production. The schedule.
Repugnantcans screwed themselves royally surrendering any control of the process.
So how hard is it to imagine somebody the committee thinks is a slam dunk, so much so that they schedule a blockbuster last minute hearing from SOMEONE THEY MAYBE HAVEN’T DEPOSED. And they call everybody else deep state liars.
    On live teevee.
    I hope I’m wrong.
But I’ve been purty frickin pessimistic for awhile now.

Oh please let it be Hannity!

    18
  19. Sandridge says:

It’s Cassidy Hutchinson as the main witness today… With the British documentary filmmaker this just gets better and better.
Now WTF is AG Merrick Garland going to deliver the coup d’grace?

“Cassidy Hutchinson, the one-time aide to former President Donald Trump’s Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, will testify before the Jan. 6 committee on Tuesday.

The 1 PM ET hearing was announced abruptly Monday night, and her appearance was kept tightly under wraps due to concerns in large part over her threats to her safety. Hutchinson’s cooperation and testimony have been integral to the probe; last week, investigators revealed a portion of her testimony where she said that a slew of Republican lawmakers sought presidential pardons after the Capitol assault. “

  20. Elizabeth2 says:

Jeff Clark. The FBI searched his house the other day, he can almost certainly that he and Trump made a deal about making Clark the new AG in exchange for fiddling the election results, and he sounds like the kind of guy who would sing like a canary to save his own sorry hide.

    20
  21. Brian Eckert says:

The ghost of Mike Pence’s conscience?

    21
  22. Would not be surprised if the witness is female! And someone who was considered a staunch good soldier of the4 MAGA army working closely with (your guess here) and overheard, read, had to draft or efit somethng for publication. This Will be the political Mouse That Roared.Remebr that flick!=?

    22
  23. Steve from Beaverton says:

All I can say is wow to the testimony from Cassidy Hutchinson this morning. A maniac in the White House until 1/20/21 is even more clear. He was not only condoning violence but being violent.

    23
  24. thatotherjean says:

Nothing quite like hearing about the guy who tried to grab the steering wheel of the car NOT taking him to the Capitol, like he wanted, or the same guy getting pissed at Bill Barr for saying there was no fraud and throwing his lunch on the White House china against the wall, is there?

Miss Cassidy spilled some highly colorful beans about a guy totally beyond control. No wonder his Cabinet was considering the 25th Amendment. They should have invoked it.

    24
  25. john in denver says:

    thatotherjean says …..

Sadly, people went to all the trouble to get a 25th Amendment passed, assuming honorable people would be serving as Vice President and Cabinet members, some who would consider the capabilities of the President and the overall interests of the country.

We now have testimony about Trump backing an overthrow of the government, supporting the execution of the Vice President, showing a lack of control by throwing plates of food and tipping over tables, speaking with “false or misleading statements” in public more than 30,000 times in 4 years, and a showing a host of other narcissistic behaviors. Apparently, enough to trigger “discussion” — but no actual formal invocation or vote of the Cabinet members.

Amendment 25 is a dead letter.

    25
  26. WA Skeptic says:

After the bombshells dropped yesterday, I find it appalling that the brave American who testified in public must be given bodyguards to protect her from Drumpf’s followers.

    Good for you, Ms. C.
