Because He’s Got It, Too
Remember the kid who plead affluenza to charges that he killed four people while driving drunk?
FORT WORTH, Texas — The father of Ethan Couch, the 16-year-old who gained national attention for using the “affluenza” defense in court and then receiving probation after killing four in a drunken-driving accident, has been arrested in Texas for allegedly impersonating a police officer.
Authorities in North Richland Hills, a Fort Worth suburb, arrested Frederick Anthony Couch on Tuesday, saying he posed as a Lakeside reserve officer at the scene of a disturbance call July 28, reports WFAA.
Couch is not nor ever has been a reserve officer for Lakeside, and he is not licensed as a peace officer in Texas.
Honey, that ain’t just white. That’s glow in the dark white.
Thanks to Larry for the heads up.
“Honey, that ain’t just white. That’s glow in the dark white.”
Anyone from the local area of these ‘affluenza’ victims? My guess is the pappy and sonny boy are victims of their own self-loathing. No work, no reason to get off the couch, because Mommy finances their st00pid. When they do rise off the couch out of boredom, they step in st00pid.
Time Mommy Dearest practices a little tough love with her two boys. Please, please, please, tell me there are not more dysfunctional members in this family.
1The good news is that wealth may be severely impacted by the 5 civil lawsuits brought by the son’s victims/victims’ families. Maybe in the end, there will be no wealth – which apparently will be the start of life lessons for the Couch bunch.
Daddy Couch’s rap sheet has a lot more on it than this – and it seems Mama Couch has her own issues with the law.

So what we’ve got here is less a case of “affluenza” than of parents who were too cheap to buy the book on parenting but had the cash to buy their way through the court system. Couldn’t be any inequality going on here, now, could there?
3Thanks for the link, Cheryl! Jumping from searches on Fred and ex-wife Tonya to Cleburne Sheet Metal, the apparent source of their wealth. A mere thirty employees and a reported annual $15million in cash flow; looking for answers as to the mega cash flow of the crazy couch. Following the money and welcome all inputs as to how the crazy became mega wealthy. A person can be stupid, but through hard work succeed. As can a lazy person succeed by working smart. Something seriously off here with Ma, Pa, their boy and their wealth.
4It’s not easy being rich. The monthly subscription to Sirius XM satellite radio. The electrical shorts in the front gate opener. Extra remotes for all of the garage door controls. And the poor, I mean rich, guy hasn’t even set foot in the house yet.
5Romney used to dress up as a Michigan trooper. Is this a rich person thing?
6I think I will start wearing a Mountie uniform. I like the hats. http://ts1.mm.bing.net/th?&id=HN.607995480483825593&w=300&h=300&c=0&pid=1.9&rs=0&p=0
7Kyle, was thinking about your excellent question, but hit a vapor lock considering $Rmoney. At the time frat boy was playing dress-up, he wasn’t rich, his parents were. But yeah, seems Paris Hilton and the Walton drunks are pretty rich, too, without having worked a day.
Meanwhile, pRick sure amassed some wealth, as a public servant. Thinking back to his supporter donations and his rewards to them, maybe the grand jury was convened too early. Or not. A prosecutor needs only present enough evidence for a true bill. So, perhaps only the tip of the iceberg facing pRick, with the tsunami of evidence to follow.
8That whole family has been impersonating human beings.
9Cheryl, join a Boy Scout troop. Then you can get the same hat, and the boys are a lot more fun to go camping with.
10Hmmm. Tree. Apple. Yup, there’s a lot of truth in that.
