Because Chris Christie Should Not Be The Only Goofy Looking Bully Governor
Donald Trump wants to run for Governor of New Damn York.
Oh crap, here we go again.
Trump spent more than two hours behind closed doors with county GOP chairmen across the New York and other party leaders as they encourage him to run for governor this fall against Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a Democrat.
Trump told the group that he would need to see the party unified behind him if he were to run, said spokesman Michael Cohen.
The upside: New York would have a goofier Governor than Texas, Arizona, and New Jersey. Combined. That would give us all a little wiggle room in the My Governor is Goofier Than Your Governor Sweepstakes.
The downside: It’s Donald Trump.
Thanks to Kyle for the heads up.
IMO, The Donald has very few supporters outside NYC, and very few supporters inside NYC.
Certainly, no pragmatic political party would want him as a candidate. But, then, the Repubs are not practical.
1I certainly hope the state of New York points a finger at him and says “You’re FIRED.”
2Sigh. I guess he was planning to buy NYC.
3That is funny! The Trump wants to “see the party unified behind him.” Tea-publicans? Unified party? Take a hint from Boehner, Don. The last place you want those people is behind you, beside you or anywhere near you.
Donald, the RNC wants to see your money. New York wants you to move to Atlantic City. But, if you feel the urge, there may be an opening for governor in New Jersey. Fair exchange, from Dumbo to Dumb.
4No way does he want his tax returns, financial records and the whole Trump University fraud investigation brought out in the open. He is an ignorant, racist misogynist and he can’t stand up to the light of exposure.
5Hope he does run. It will be his undoing.
Looks as though Caterpillar hair is pulling a Palin: obtaining media coverage by announcing a fake candidacy.
6Governor Bad Hair.
Please forgive me……
7OMG, how many times is he going to pull this stunt before the stunt itself while in its infancy kicks him in the ass all the way to Tierra del Fuego!
8This says more about the lunatics encouraging him than it does about him.
9I doubt it’s possible to run a successful campaign for President when you’re already a national joke.
On the other hand, there was Dubya….
10Have no fear – He’s just blowing hot air as always. He will not run for Governor or any other political office. He just enjoys all the attention he gets when he says he might. The only people who pay attention to The Donald are people who don’t live in NY. As for us NYers, we pay him no mind whatsoever.
11OK, NYC, by a WIDE margin, just elected a mayor who, in anyone’s book, is quite progressive.
12NYC owns the majority of the votes in NY State.
So where does The Donald think he’s going to get votes enough to win ???
Yes, maryelle, exactly !
Stinks of desperation.
13“Trump told the group that he would need to see the party unified behind him if he were to run.”
Silver spoon & silver platter. Wouldn’t want to actually work for anything, would we?
If he wins the race for governor and spends that political capital, when his policies go belly up, can he declare political bankruptcy?
14Carl Paladino, former candidate and NY’s attempt to copy Louie The Louse Gohmert, strongly endorses The Donald. That should get him over the hump.
15This is a stunt for the 2014 version of his TV reality show. The 2013 version had horrible ratings and nearly was not renewed. I guess that having Dennis Rodman on the show did not work out so well.
Trump is trying to generate attention for the upcoming season. I wonder what else he is going to do for ratings. He has tried suing Bill Maher and did not get any attention. He will be doing something this season to try to fool people into watching his show.
16Andrew Cuomo has been good for New York. Trump has not.
17I sure am thankful that Trump doesn’t live in Texas. Cruz and Abbott are enough of a burden to bear. And speaking of Cruz, today’s STATESMAN gave him great front page coverage. Yesterday the same spot was a pic of the TPPF and Jindal et al. I expect to see Wendy there tomorrow. Grr. Listen, you guys. If you know anyone at all in west Texas or big cities, please call them and talk to them about the Koch brothers and the TPP. I had a long visit last night with one of my favorite profs in the world. He had barely heard of the Koch bros. and knew nothing about TPP. He was appalled. Please make noise wherever you can. Please.
18Marge Wood, you are so spot on and why the The World’s Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc. is so important. Truth, facts and future.
Trickle Down is so voodoo Reagan disproved, When the ACA came about, I knew I’d be one of the few paying more. That is ok with me, knowing that more will have access to health care. Under the status quo, would have paid more for less, while millions did without. Fact, our insurance rate went up annually for less. At least now, more are covered, while the rate increases are slowing.
Budget deficit? With two off budget Bush wars, the GOP suddenly wants “pay as you go”? How about pay for what the war hawks spent? Tax oil companies, Halliburton and all the war profiteers for the eight Bush years they paid nothing.
19Channelling wierd hair:
Oh Jeez,
Like what does a Marxist know about fiscal responsibility?
20You know, if I had the Trump Cash, I’d have a better head of hair.
21Hey, wasn’t he the guy who figured out that because it snowed in January, then there’s no such thing as “global warming?”
A goddamn genius, I tell you!
22You gave my wife her laugh for the day, Old Fart! Thank you.
