  2. off topic, but worthwhile comment from another blog: “I’ll believe corporations are people when Governor Perry executes one.”

  3. Umm. Looks to me as though Joaquin Castro won this one. Though I’m sure his brother Julian could do it too.

  4. Way to go, Joaquin! Keep it up!

  5. That looks to me to be just another “Oooops!” moment for pRick Perry. It would seem he doesn’t know those mayors are mostly Democrats and I would have loved to see the look on his face when Joaquin so nicely pointed that out to him.

Just one more thing to put a smile on our faces this Sunday morning!!

Translation: Conservative Steve Forbes (Editor-in-Chief of Forbes Magazine) approves of Rick Perry’s cutting taxes on corporations and the rich. What a surprise.

  8. As the cover of Texas Monthly so appropriately said, “Game On”…. as Wendy Davis, Julian and Joaquin stood there smiling….

  9. Is that a cute little puppy that Ricky is holding?

My Mayor is sharp. So is his brother, my Congressman.

  11. @Corinne – You’re very lucky! My mayor billionaire Mike Bloomberg is the 13th richest person on the planet, who bought himself two legal terms as mayor plus one illegal third term even though he was term-limited after eight years. People tell us New Yorkers we are stupid to keep voting for him. We didn’t keep voting for him — he BOUGHT the elections. And if you don’t know how that works, you haven’t been paying attention to money in politics. But my congressman — octogenarian Charlie “Take No Prisoners” Rangel — can still light it up out there. And our Gov. Cuomo really does get it done. So, we just need a real mayor, not a Wall St. stooge.
