Nothing beats a baby discovering the beach. He’s so adorable!

  2. Way too precious.

  3. Okay, that’s it, now I’ve got a crick in my neck. A little bit of grandma envy, too.

Oh hugs hugs hugs. Be safe.

  5. Awwwww!

  6. Quick, you guys! Roust the passed out drunks, start stuffing garbage bags with all the discarded undies and pizza boxes, TURN OFF THE MUSIC, and does anyone have one of those little garden front-end loaders so we can scrape up the puke and spilled booze and food? She’ll be home tonight!!11!

  7. Gristle, I don’t know. It might be easier to just burn the place down and start over at this point.

An all Americian redhead! I read a few years back that red hair was showing up more in our population! Cuter than cute! So much fun! Enjoy, it’s wonderful!

  10. Should get that little one the t-shirt I saw: “Genuine redhead. Keep out of direct sun.”

Redheads need about 20% more painkiller to get the same effect. Truly– do a search on redheads and pain. It’s a genetic side effect, as are small veins that are hard to find. Just let the medicos know, if they don’t. We suffer for being special…. as if the sunburns and skin cancer weren’t enough.

Best of luck to your little redhead!

  11. Oh that picture is adorable and so wistful. Makes you want to hug your kids, who played at the water’s edge when they were that little. (I’m suffering from no grandchildren syndrome.)
My beagle has to fill the gap.
Thanks for the link, Rhea. Those pictures were hysterical.
Of course, if I owned the house I might not be laughing so much.

There is something not right about that picture … it’s upside down and inside out or something … or … maybe it’s just time for me to shut it down for tonight!

If that youngster is sitting in warm water he is about to find out why it makes britches wetter. Least it works for sleeping adults when you put their hand in warm water.

That’s no doubt a Republican photograph. Up is Down.

  15. Clicked the little to get the right side up biggie. I am impressed! Baby grandboy is not afraid of the water!

  16. He is adorable. He is a lucky boy to be introduced to the beach. He looks so serious, wonder what he thinks about all that he sees? My kids loved the beach and still do today. Our special place is Cape Cod.

I am sitting here with 2 cats, a thick wool blanket and a space heater. It is -20 with wind chill of -34.
    The cardinals are singing though!

A little Otis Redding to set the mood. Dock of the Bay.

  18. Thank you, Rhea!
I didn’t need to do any research–having been born a redhead–but it was comforting to hear doctors agree about the “…hard to numb…” issue. And though I’ve been a blood donor for years I probably get turned away half the time because no one can get into the itsy bitsy veins.
Just came home from a trip to see my redheaded grandson in CA where he lives near the beach and could have posed for this photo himself.

  19. Redheads also need more sulfur-containing foods than the rest of us. That includes eggs, onions, garlic, and all the crucifers. We all need sulfur; redheads just burn through it quicker.
