Another Criminal Elected to Congress

May 25, 2017 By: El Jefe Category: Sumbitches

Greg Gianforte, who body slammed a reporter on earlier this week for asking a question he didn’t like, was just elected to represent the stupid state of Montana.  Another criminal takes a seat in the People’s House. Facts and common decency no longer count in this country.

I can’t think of anything funny to say.

  1. Although this news gives me nausea, I remain unpersuaded that this election result has any ability to predict results upcoming in November, 2018. With 250k votes cast early, Giantfart’s election victory was almost assured.

I am writing from Montana and can tell you we are sick and angry at tbe stupidity of Montana voters.

And embarassed like we are about the orange creamsicle in DC.

Those voters are a disgrace to our state.

  4. I don’t know that it would have mattered but it’s important to note that over 70% of the votes were cast before the incident with Ben Jacobs occurred. None the less, this is disheartening.

When wildfires ravage and natural disasters plunge Montana into a statewide 911call, don’t expect help, voters, your party of choice doesn’t give a rats ass if you all sink.

Well, that’s because it’s all about the money, honey. If you don’t have money, you and your kids are merely a drag upon all those who do. Don’t forget, also, that Montana and Idaho are major “white flight” states, where people who don’t approve of minorities go to pretend they don’t exist. I’ve known a few of them!

  7. @Liz: Agree that its all about the $$. I think those who have the $$ hold those with less $$ as valuable assets.

After all, this is where a lot of future money is to be made.

The continued extraction and transfer of $$ from others by any and all means possible has always been the name of the game. The GOP has managed to generate a class of vampire slaves that will support them no matter what.

  8. Does anyone still think there is anything that a Republican to do to lose an election in one of “their” districts? I sure don’t.

Given everything that has been going on in Washington by the Republican powers that be, anyone who voted for a Republican with or without knowledge of the body slam is da*n fool.

This clown has less impulse control than a teething toddler on their worst day of hatching their toofers. It’s the mark of a scoundrel that his only “response” to being asked a legitimate question was to body slam the reporter.

But unlike Dolt45, he at least does his own irrational tantrum. Donnie might chip a nail, if he did anything resembling physical labor. He relies on inciting crowd violence to do his dirty work.

  11. Montana is very rural. It is about same size as California with a small population of just over a million. The vast majority of residents are not wealthy. In terms of household income it is among the poorest states in the union. Think down South poor. The state is needy and gets a lot of financial assistance from Washington. It is #4 in terms of dependency on Federal dollars. You would think voters would have enough good sense to vote their self interest. However, Montana politics are dominated by prairie hillbillies who support the Trump agenda which will be a disaster for ordinary citizens.

These results are more evidence that Bernie Sanders doesn’t have the long coattails his supporters say he has. In an enclave of such milky white brotherhood, Quist was a prime lab experiment for Bernie’s “Revolution” but it didn’t pan out.

  13. Well, what do Montanans do for excitement? Wait for and watch the trial and sentencing of Gianforte. What he did merits at least six months in the slammer plus a fine. He won’t be sworn in until early June. It all depends on how crowded the docket is in the Montana court in charge of such offenses as to how soon he faces a judge. And if he is sworn in and moves to D.C. before the trial, will he willingly return or will he have to be forced back wearing handcuffs? Good question! Just think of the photo ops on that one! And how does a congress critter keep his seat if he ain’t in it cuz he’s behind bars? Would love to hear the answer to that one!

  14. Bob Boland says:

While the outcome in Montana is appalling, just remember. Cheeto Jesus won there by 20 points; Gianforte won by 7 points even though he outspent Quist by about 12 to 1.

So, even with the loss, a lot of Montanans are changing their minds about CJ and his (supposed) agenda.

Do we have a chart somewhere of criminal charges of before being sworn in and after? How many of each?
