And Then On Top Of It All

July 07, 2013 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Okay, you guys remember when Rick Perry made a total jerk of himself by insulting Wendy Davis on a very personal level.  That was way back on June 26th that he said that.

So, today is July 7th and it took him that long to come up with this.

Speaking Sunday, Perry also addressed inflammatory comments he made last week about Davis’ own history as a teen mother. In the wake of Davis’ filibuster, Perry gave a speech saying it was “unfortunate” that Davis “hasn’t learned from her own example.”

“Those comments were meant to be a compliment to her,” Perry said on Sunday.

I know the man is slower than a sloth on a snail’s back but holy crap I could have come up with something better in two damn weeks.  Two weeks to come up with, “Well, duh, Bubba, I thought calling her names was complimentary.”  I think the word he was looking for is complementary, as in “free.”

He’s gonna want to be President.  So he can finish insulting every other woman in America.  For free.

Thanks to Kyle for the heads up.

Sigh. I vote we all get bumper stickers saying RICK PERRY FOR TRUCK DRIVER.

  3. W C Peterson says:

It would scare me to death knowing Rick Perry was driving the 18-wheeler coming my way down the highway. If he drove a truck the same way he drove the Governorship of Texas, he’d scare anybody.

Everybody loves bacon, which is typically made from pigs. So, when I call Rick Perry a pig, I’m just trying to be complementary.

What’s that, Ricky? You’re offended by that remark? You illogical conservatives, always getting so emotional, always claiming to be victims. Who could ever hope to understand conservatives, anyway? Bless their little hearts.

I’m tellin y’all, he needs to be killed! Maybe we can round up some hungry coyotes to go for a run with him? And if they rip him to shreds and leave him for buzzard bait we can just keep a low profile? Hyenas would be better but they are not thick on the ground around these parts. I am not, however, opposed to javelinas, speaking of pigs!

That knife in the back wasn’t supposed to hurt, don’tcha know. Just a little jab between friends.

  7. @ Liz:
He doesn’t need to be killed, he needs to wake up one morning with a vagina. You know, like those “switched” movies? *And* in need of some serious reproductive system medical care.

Whenever Perry sticks his boot in his mouth it reminds me of dear ole Molly Iven’s statement on Bush: “Maybe next time you I tell you not to vote for a Texan for president you’ll listen to me.”

However, there is one Texan I would vote for president: Wendy Davis!

  9. Damn glad I didn’t hold my breath today waiting for the Rickster to say something intelligent. Well, its way past my bedtime. See you all in the morning.

If Gov. Perry is as stupid as he appears, why did so many vote for him?

Is he a real-life “Bob Forehead?” Or am I over-complicating this? What about this man appeals to so many Texans?

  11. I still have the image of a truck, with a picture of Rick Perry on one side, and a message written on the other.

    The message?

“Does this ass make my truck look big?’

    *Gryn*

  12. @charles phillips:

Not that many people DID vote for him.

Most people just stayed home. We had our choice: Republican…. or “Democrat” running as a Republican-lite.
So, most of us stayed home, or just picked “none of the above”.

A mistake I’m hoping will not be repeated in future elections.

  13. P.S.

You won’t read too many “factual” stories about him in the Texas papers. I’ve seen at least (5) this morning on Huffington Post, but (0) in my local papers. I don’t know if they are scared, or lazy, or what…. but here on this Non-blog, you will read more about Rick Perry’s screw-ups, than in all Texas major daily newspapers…… combined. Sad to say, it reaches a lot fewer voters.

Dewhurst and Abbott have their work cut out for them, running for Governor trying to be like Rick Perry just not TOO MUCH like Rick Perry.

Rick Perry has the same problem.

If he had any intelligence at all, just a smidgen of a scintilla of a ghost of a brain cell, he might appear condescending to Wendy Davis. Instead, he just appears undescended, like the gonads of a testosterone-deficient missing link.

Yes, yes, it was a compliment, Rick. I’m sure Wendy Davis will thank you for it in her Inaugural Speech as Governor of Texas.

Icky gives Aggies a bad name. He makes Aggie jokes seem factual.
