And the Winner Of “Most Patronizing Comment Made About Hispanics All Month” Goes To …

…. George P. Bush.

Speaking at the Institute for Policy Innovation last Friday, George P – who appears to have taken over Dubya’s job of being Fredo of the Bush Family – made a fun statement.

George P. Bush said Friday that conservative Republicans could compete for Hispanic voters and still remain true to their core values.

“We don’t have to sell out our principles to win the Hispanic vote,” Bush told the Institute for Policy Innovation, a group formed decades ago by former Republican Rep. Dick Armey.

So, wait a minute, is he saying that Hispanics generally don’t have values and principles on the par with Republicans?  What?  They don’t steal, divorce their sick wives, and hang out in Milwaukee bathrooms enough?

Values?  The Republican Party has values?  What did that happen and why wasn’t I notified?

Be social and share!

  1. Uh…….isn’t he HALF HISPANIC ??? Oh, these guys just kill me……..

  2. That’s a gene pool that needs some immediate attention..

    2
  3. Obviously the Anglo genes, not the Hispanic ones.

    3
  4. Another generation of Bush. Adios, mofos

    4
  5. Isn’t George P.’s claim to fame that he is an Hispanic voter?

The difference between the GOP and Bernie Madoff? Madoff has convictions.

  7. Ralph Wiggam says:

I had no idea that the Republicans still had principles for sale. I thought they sold them all long ago.

Perhaps he is talking about a going out of business sale.

    7
  8. I read your quoted text differently in that Hispanics have the same core principles as the Republicans therefore the Republicans don’t have to change a thing. Definitely an insult to the Hispanics but it also begs the question as to why the majority of Hispanics are currently not Republicans if they have the same values and principles.

    8
  9. P.S. The republicans still haven’t learned a thing because they continue to believe that all they have to do to win is change the messenger and not the message.

    9
  10. “We don’t have to sell out our principles etc.” Oh poor little Pee. He didn’t get the memo, “Hey we don’t have any principles on the R side of the aisle!”

    10
  11. “We don’t have to sell out our principles to win the Hispanic vote.”
If being condescending to minorities is one of those core principles, mission accomplished.

  12. Please tell me that Texans won’t vote for this non-entity.

  13. W C Peterson says:

As long as precincts use electronic voting machines made be Diebold (a good Republican Company), the Republican have a better than even chance of winning the Hispanic vote, no matter how individual Hispanics actually vote. We need to *insist on a paper ballot* that can be scanned by an optical scanner. A paper ballot cannot be “adjusted” by the party in power link the electronic machines were in Ohio on election day eve.

    13
  14. If that comment was made about my ethnic group, I would consider it an insult.

Sounds like the republicans feel they will do what come naturally, lie, steal and/or cheat to get the vote.

Because you know, their ‘principles’ are just so universally loved by all.

I am pretty sure the P stands for “Pinhead”.

  16. You have to wonder at not only Pee’s insensitivity and stupidity, but that of the so-called Institute for Policy Innovation. The Bush quote was reported in a Dallas Morning News story, which the Institute prominently and proudly posted in its entirety on the organization’s web site. Archie Bunkerism to the nth degree. I can’t wait for the launch of their Hispanic membership campaign.

  17. daChipster says:

Yet another Bush who has struggled and striven and stretched to overcome the advantages of his own birth, yet has failed miserably.

  18. Thanks for the laugh daChipster…i just had a 6 hour operation to replace my knuckles in my right hand and am counting on you guys to make me laugh…so thanks!

  19. Slap an R on it and Texans will vote for it, Barb.
