And The Nuts Just Keep On Coming

September 21, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Customer mike took this picture hisownself right outside Lincoln, Nebraska.

Neither Mike nor I suspect that’s Jesus’ truck.

Mike says his current thinking is to try and get an adjacent property owner to host a sign, or just leave a large card board sign with something like Oops a swing and a miss.

Thank you Mike for the heads up and the camera skills.

    This is a SURPRISE to me!!! I consider myself both – – – –

  2. Yes, MaryJo, but I bet you aren’t a “real” bible-thumping, everybody but me is going to hell, if God had intended Obama to be President he would have made him white Christian. Apparently these days you are only a “Christian” if you do the exact opposite of what Jesus said to do. Very strange world to be living in…

  3. Somebody should fix that sign for him. It’s Republicans that don’t like the things Jesus taught.

  4. Well, give the poor bastard some leeway – look how CROWDED that signboard is – he (why do I assume it’s a man? I wonder…) had to cram in the word “can’t” as it was. What he REALLY meant to say was “MY version of a Christian can’t be a Democrat, and a Democrat can’t be MY kind of Christian.” Because that actually might be true. I can only imagine what kind of self-centered, paranoid, ignore-every-lesson-in-the-gospel fellow he must be, parading around a sign like that. Hmmmmpppphhhhh! And I’m not even religious!

  5. Ralph Wiggam says:

For the record, the rules of the Democratic Party specifically prohibit discrimination on the basis of religion. If there is a problem here, it’s not with the Democratic Party.

  6. I’m trying to remember, I’m pretty sure that wasn’t one of the 10 Commandments, was it one of the more obscure laws set down in Leviticus?

    6
  7. Does St. Peter require photo ID? Voter preference stamp on registration papers? Perfect attendance at primary elections?

  8. Elizabeth Moon says:

Jesus said He’s the only one who knows who’s really one of His followers…and it’s based on, amazingly enough, doing what He said to do and not doing what He said not to do, and one of the things he said not to do was judge…or you’d be judged with the same yardstick.

So this guy is committing heresy right out there in public and about to get whopped with the naughty stick, I’ll betcha (but I’m not SAYIN’, just bettin’, because, y’know, not judgin’.)

    Says one Christian Democrat.

  9. Mike, help me out here. I grew up in Nebraska & lived several years in Lincoln, but can’t figure what or where this building is. Moms/Eve

  10. It’s these self-styled Christians who seem to leap from Leviticus and Deuteronomy straight to the Pauline (and pseudo-Pauline) epistles and to Revelation. To hell with the Gospels, they seem to say!

  11. Dang it! I call myself a Christian, and I most regularly pray in private, and I try so very hard to not judge others. But it’s very hard for me to like the teabaggers and so many republicans. I try to keep the Gospels in mind, but Lord forgive me, I seem to be losing the battle not to hate some people. I’m trying. I hope I get a pretty good grade for the effort.

  12. It’s on Rokeby road just north of 14th street.
