And In The “Somebody Isn’t Taking This Well” Contest, We May Have a Winner
Arizona politics is entering the world stage of poopieheads.
Holly Soloman, who is 28, takes her politics pretty darn seriously. So seriously that when she discovered her husband didn’t vote last Tuesday, she took that whole retribution thing out of God’s and Karl Rove’s hands and did what a girl’s gotta do.
Witnesses told police they heard yelling and saw Solomon get into a Jeep SUV and chase her husband through the parking lot. He eventually stood behind a light pole while Solomon drove around the pole numerous times while yelling, police said.
The husband attempted to flee, probably because climbing light poles is harder than it looks. That gave Holly her opportunity to make a political statement by running his butt over because, as she explained to the police, she “believes that her family will face hardship under another term under President Barack Obama.”
However, thanks to Obamacare, her husband will fare a little better.
I know what you’re thinking. But, police reports confirm that Holly was stone cold sober, and it is rumored that she has applied for Grover Norquist’s job.
Thanks to Wayne and Texas Ellen for the heads up.
If she gets convicted of assault she won’t be allowed to vote any more. Will there be a divorce in her future?
1That scowl on her face is enough to make you want to run and hide.
And that Jeep SUV still MADE IN AMERICA. So if it wasn’t for Barack Obama, she wouldn’t even HAVE a weapon.
Cuz we all know Holly wouldn’t run her husband over with no CHINESE Jeep. That would be unAmerican.
Plus, it would be ironic, and GOTP doesn’t do irony. If they did, they’d run themselves over with a Jeep.
Like Mitt did.
2She looks like somebody who spent the past weeks watching Fox News and believing every damn thing they said.
Paranoid insomnia isn’t healthy.
3Just when I thought the RWNJ could not get any more loony, they prove me wrong, again~After the 2008 election I thought these people would be over their SORE LOSERNESS by March 2009, however, in the words of the late John Belushi, “But, NOOOOOO”. Seriously, where were these folks raised? They do not have any sense of democracy much less “fair play”.
4Are we for certain….. this was NOT Colorado…….. and she was not?????
I mean, sober people usually don’t do that kind of stuff. Not as a general rule.
And, she, for all the world doesn’t look like she belongs in the 1% category of people….. so how you reckon she would do any better under Romney? Well, I dunno. Maybe she’s got all her money in the Cayman’s with his.
5What will really freak her out is if the vote count completion gives the Senate seat to Dr. Rich Carmona and boots “Crazy Joe” Arpaio out on his hefty behind…..It could happen!
6Well, she has now proven herself correct. Her family will now face hardship under the Obama administration that she would not have faced under a Romney admin. Medical, legal and family hardship, all because Obama won.
7Since this would have never happened if Romney had won, who else is to blame but the President?
Maybe I’m confused – I could have sworn that ROMNEY won Arizona, so it wouldn’t have mattered if her husband voted or not. Not that I’m saying people shouldn’t vote, mind you, but this woman might want to think about picking her battles.
8It’s kind of the whole election cycle in microcosm. The auto bailout meets Obamacare.
9Um… isn’t that called a self-fulfilling prophecy?
10Elizabeth, civics class passed Miz Holly by…she was out on the day the electoral college was discussed.
11While the market is down I recommend investing in prozac, I suspect there is going to be a run on the stuff.
12HaHa! Wife runs over hubby for not voting for Romney in Arizona…after Romney wins in Arizona. Crazy lady doesn’t know how we elect our Presidents…but she sure knows how to step on the gas! HaHa!
13BTW, you just can’t make this stuff up!
14@Wally – Yes – from auto bailout to Obamacare! Do you think she realizes Romney would have let her car company of choice go out of business, and her family to manage all of their self inflicted medical bills?
15OMG!
16I may have to break my own rule and start drinking Before sundown- if you keep bringing this kind of stuff to our attention JJ!!
Charged with domestic violence? Aggravated assault? Good grief, why wasn’t she charged with attempted murder? The fact that he’s in the hospital in critical condition takes this crime out of the “amusing political incident” category. IMHO.
17I can just see the NRA using this to argue that registering guns is futile. After all, your government already registers Jeeps!
18The worst part is a mention that she’s pregnant. This woman should not breed.
19I’m afraid I have to disagree with this article. “Arizona politics is entering the world stage of poopieheads.” They have been there for years now. They are simply getting to the diarrhea stage.
20Jeez–it’s too bad that there were no sahuaro cacti around, one of my friends from high school climbed one of those when the boon docker party we were at was raided by the landowners with scary shotguns and 4×4 trucks…he must not have been scared enough–we were!!
21Ah, the sweet memories of growing up in crazy land…ain’t childhood grand, in a scorpions in your shoes kinda way.
Scene fades into glorious sunset…
I live in Phoenix and I can first-hand tell you these people are way beyond poopiehead category and quickly moving into bat-guano crazyheads. Running over your hubby? Heck, that happens every every morning on the I-10 commute in Arizona Looneyland.
Our one bright spot? Kyrsten Sinema was elected our first Democratic bisexual Congressmember.
22The Romney get-out-the-vote machine at work, albeit a few days late.
23Dahlin’s, I think pregnancy is an excuse for anything. Now getting away with it is something else.
24I am pretty sure she’s going to need a PUBLIC DEFENDER…
