And Here’s Another Reason I Like Elizabeth Warren

September 24, 2019 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

No kidding, y’all, she’s trying to defeat Susan Collins.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s (D-MA) presidential campaign is putting resources into Maine, where it hopes to help unseat Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) in one of the most high-profile Senate races of this cycle.

It’s time for Susan Collins to dance to the Brett Kavanaugh tune.

Warren’s campaign manager Roger Lau says it ain’t enough to just win the presidency, we’ve got the senate and house hanging in the balance.

“If we want to make big, structural change, we need to make sure Democrats control the U.S. House and Senate and win important gubernatorial and state legislative races across the country.”

In his memo, Lau also said that the campaign was going to devote resources to flipping state legislatures in Michigan and Minnesota and invest in Texas and Florida as well.

Y’all can stay at my house if you want to.

  1. Spot on! Flipping the Senate and solidifying the House that the Dem. candidate for President must lead on. Warren understands policy, is an excellent speaker and now is leading on a key strategy of flipping the Senate.

  4. Democrats have the House and Governor in Minnesota. We need to flip 4 seats in the Senate and we’re working hard on it.

  5. YAYAYAYAY! Gotta get Democrats in Michigan if Flint is ever to rise from its lead-laced ashes.

And yes, Florida desperately needs help, too. The northern Alabama suburb has had its own way for far too long. Let us south Floridians have a say, for once.
For one thing, 2020 and the new census is coming. After the R’s gerrymandered the southern half of the state to a fare-thee-well in 2010, it took 6 years for us to get our voting rights back.
And ex-felons STILL don’t got ’em — even after the citizens spoke up and said they should. The R’s had a solution for that: just reenact a poll tax — problem solved.

Goes without saying that THIS is what most of us have been demanding for years.

Here’s the website for the Maine Senate Democratic Campaign Committee. I am waiting to hear who’s taking on Collins, but this looks like a good place to start contributing.

  8. No one said Sen. Warren can’t be strategic.

But Collins should also have Steven King to contend with as well…
