And Georgia Again

December 07, 2020 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Joe Biden has won Georgia for the third time.  Isn’t that some kind of record?

“It’s been 34 days since the election on Nov. 3,” Raffensperger said at a news conference at the Georgia Capitol earlier in the day. “We have now counted legally cast ballots three times and the results remain unchanged.”

The recertification of the results amounted to a major blow toPresident Trump’s efforts to overturn the results of the presidential race. Trump has repeatedly refused to acknowledge his loss to Biden and has falsely claimed that the election outcome was marred by widespread voter fraud and systemic irregularities.

This is just a stab in the dark but I’m betting that Trump still isn’t accepting it.  Three’s the charm didn’t work so maybe four is the fix?

And looney Sidney Powell lost another 2 court cases today, Georgia and Michigan. She vows to appeal, of course. Wonder if she’s tired of winning so much. And people still contributing to her shitshows are even loonier than her.

  2. I think Biden/Harris should get an additional set of Electoral College votes every time they win an election again after a recount or a court case.

When Rudy & Trump lose, again, give then a consolation prize like a copy of the sweatshirt John Belushi wore in Animal House – – COLLEGE. Maybe personalize it and add “Electoral” scrawled above COLLEGE with a Sharpie.

Has anyone seen moving vans near the White House yet? I hope when they are spotted it’s on the front page of WaPo!

I like the sweatshirt idea- have it say “ya, but I won South Dakota bigly”.

I don’t know why it took me so long to dial in but I now see what Trump’s plan has been all along. He thought GOP loyalty would override facts, that no one on his side believed in democracy, and they were all just waiting for their candidate to loudly insist that what they wished for had actually happened, regardless of the vote totals. I expect he’s genuinely stunned that Republicans have any allegiance to democracy. In one sense it sucks that we are obliged to our Republican fellow countrymen/women for not going along with it. It could, however, be the last time they do that, especially if Fox spends the next four years reprogramming them.

If Republicans, who in those days called themselves Democrats for ancient historical reasons, believe in democracy, then what the hell was I doing in rhe streets demonstrating for voting rights back in the ’60s?

I’m convinced that Trump knows he has lost the election, but he’s just beating the drum for more money. So far $200M has been donated to his “stop the steal” vaudeville act, and 75% of it goes to a PAC that he can use like a personal bank account. The money will not stop flowing (*), but will dribble off as soon as Biden is sworn in.

The True Believers will continue to scream and threaten state officials, but the idiots are always with ye.

(*) by default, contributing to his slush fund automatically signs you up for a monthly donation. You gotta uncheck a box to avoid that. On finding that out, an 86 year old neighbor of mine blamed “the computer” and then said that she must have accidentally agreed to the monthly bill. Anything except blaming the outright grift machine that is Trump. She also said that she will never vote for a Democrat. Sigh.

  9. I agree with the Prof – at this point, it’s just a grift. Rudy bragged that he was making 20K per day doing this. $200M buys a whole lot of his time – and leaves plenty for the grifter family. They will milk this until the donations run dry.

Just sent a donation to Stacey’s Fair Fight organization. Eff Newt. His days of having any relevance are OVER.

  11. Rick, that only seems fair considering all the “tort reform” punitive measures repugnantcans have pushed to cut down on lawsuit abuse. You know what they say. What’s good for the goose is good for the malignant narcissist-in-chief who will do his best to destroy our government so no one else can play with it if he can’t.
And Wossamotta U oughta be considered as a sweatshirt option.

Surly @ 8 So, the True Believers (thank you, Eric Hoffer) gave $200,000,000.00 to fight election shenanigans but there wasn’t $402.00 left to pay the filing fee for the latest complaint in Georgia.

I realize the trumpeters don’t like to be called stupid, but what other conclusion are we supposed to draw?
