Alex Jones Update
I don’t know much but I know more than you do.
It appears that the case will actually go to trial week after next – the last week of July. It will start with jury selection, then opening statements, and finally the trial.
Here’s where we are. Jones has already been found “guilty” of defamation so now a jury must decide what the punishment should be. And in civil cases, punishment means money.
I was able to watch a pre-trial motion hearing all day on Friday on You Tube. The video was fine but the audio was awful. HBO has been given special permission by the judge to video the entire trial. I do not know if they will put it on YouTube for the trial or not.

The two senior partners in the firm have decided to help with the trial because they have gotten so involved. Mark and Bill are so relieved to have the experienced help. They are a band of brothers.
If I am counting correctly Jones is on his 12th lawyer since this all began. His lawyers would not talk to the press. I simply cannot imagine why. Are they not proud of their client?

Is there any chance of Alex being moved to a Mental Health climc, as they call them now? Ronnie emptied the asylums. That is where Alex belongs, along with a good share of Republican Politicians, Fox News Reporters!

At what level does lawyer discipline, (admonishment, reprimand, censure, suspension or loss of his or her license to practice law) happen in this country? — Rudy G., John Eastman, Jeffrey Clark, William Olson, Kurt Olsen, and it seems an endless supply of “ethically- challenged” lawyers.

5G Foresight – Birds of a feather – they are as sociopathic as their cflient. Just being a sociopath is not a crime. Its a malady that might be treated. However, if the sociopathy can be connected to a crtiminal act, thats anothr story. I think in general more people are beginning to realize that sociopaths are not good for business. Hopes for the future: Tha tthe almighty King Donald I is not the R candidate in 2024. He is just way too damaged and he is put somewhere he can’t be a danger to himself or this country any more. My intuition tells me that Merrick Garland has several trucvkloads of his own evidence plus what he gets from the committee. He has set his own date for throwing a net over ?Trump and hauling him off. Hope it is soon. Can’t stand any more suspense!

By training, lawyers don’t have any expectation of being “proud” of their clients.
It is noteworthy that terrorists in Gitmo were able to attract the pro-bono services of high-end NY law firms but Alex Jones cannot.
7The problem, of course, will be collecting the damages after they’re awarded. It may take a while.

9Hoping for high nine digits. He may not be able to pay much of it now but hopefully any future earnings will go to the current and future plaintiffs. Hope there’s video when his steroid head explodes. Then, after that, he gets indicted for his part in inciting an insurrection.
10Maggie @6 – I have said in an earlier comment that I think Garland is waiting for an appropriate time before the election to disclose what he’s done because there is too much time today for the trump distraction team to do their usual tactic of throwing out tons of superfluous sidebars that are effective within a given timeframe with the far right acolytes and even the average voter.

It’s beyond bizarre we have to deal with sooo many dangerous wacko’s like trumph and jones. Seems everyday we are living a ‘Twilight Zone’ life. Sooo thankful for the many good people that know and do the difference between right and wrong.

and here we are … the Alex Jones’ trial FINALLY coming to headlines.
And lo and behold… there are many other elements on our calendar. For all those who doubted the Department of Justice or Congress would be able to muster their outrage and present an explanation of the problems … I hope you are beginning to be satisfied. 843 federal cases. 334 guilty.
The J6 Congressional committee has held 7 hearings that are among the best I’ve ever seen. The final scheduled hearing is this coming week, and the plan appears to be that the final report will be issued in late September, just before Congress adjourns for the campaign push.
a few additional trials in progress for defamation of Dominion Software, and more and more inquiries about the election illegalities.
Republicans are showing up on the wrong side of SO many issues. I can’t help but be a little more optimistic about the election and the coming two years.
13Mark and Bill were very impressive. May Jones lose ever dollar he has for making bereaved families’ hell even deeper and darker than it already was.
