Well, honey, they shake all the trees and hope some money will fall out.

  2. SomedayGirl says:

Mail it back with some marriage equality and reproductive rights info.

  3. Think they can spell “clueless”?

Send the insides back—attacked to a brick!

They still haven’t learned. The same thing happens all the time in Arizona. Last year, they sent fund raising letters to to the home of the Chairman of the Arizona Democratic Party, along with county party chair people. Activist dems like myself get them all the time from conservative candidates because they outsource this stuff to companies that don’t look at voting record, only marketing data. Good luck, Texas. I think Arizona is right behind you

  6. Abbott has too much money, not enough brains.

  7. This happens in Virginia as well. Very upsetting to get this stuff addressed to my late husband who turned from deep south conservative to committed liberal. Mary Patri, you are absolutely right. Its all just money to them and to hell with humanity.

  8. Same thing happened to me out here in California. The generic letter said “Dear Fellow Republican”. I’ve been a registered Democrat since 1980. They have gotten cheap, though. You need to put a stamp on the return envelope. When they used to have postage-paid return envelopes, I’d put everything they sent me (with my name blacked out and the donation forms cut up, of course) into the envelope and send it back. I figured that I might as well help them waste more money.

Perfect GOP! Waste your mailing list in a demonstration of how you would waste our tax dollars.

Hey Ted, you’re a TX Senator, how about asking Dick and Dubya to contribute a little to paying down the debt on their two wars? Maybe Charles and David could contribute, too

  10. Lorraine in Spring says:

    Funny.

Speaking of desperate, I heard Wendy is closing the gap. His lead is down to 7 points thanks to special guest Ted Nugent & Abbott’s own war to control women.

I have a feeling there will be many Republican women telling their husbands they chose Abbott but they really voted for Wendy come Nov.

    And Leticia.

  11. Jeffrey Erbs says:

Put the postage paid envelope on a box filled with bricks, or something else heavy and under 70#, and send it back!

  12. I doubt any of you have tried to manage a mailing list with thousands of entries and an automated feed from various sources. Plus its cheaper to ignore stuff like this than to pay someone to remove it. I bet Democrat mailing lists have similar non-productive addressees.

Someone signed the addressee up for these mailings, probably for grins and giggles.

  13. WRM, somebody signed “Ling-Ling Panda, National Zoo” up for a biker magazine years ago. It suited her personality, but I don’t know how many issues she got to read.

  14. Corinne Sabo says:

    Nice waste of money.

  15. Anybody who’s done some fishing knows this technique as “chumming” throw out some garbage and see if anything bites.

  16. TexasEllen says:

Perhaps it would be fun for the Letter Carriers Union to thank the Abbott campaign for helping keep the USPS solvent. First class letters really help the bottom line, especially when they go to the totally UnRepublicans.

  17. Tape two cents on the return and send it back.
